Turk passed away Feb 17, found him curled up in his dog house, he will be greatly missed. He was a winner that produced winners, he will live on in his sons, daughters and grand pups. He has passed the torch, now we wait to see which of his sons pick it up............Tim

Thanks everybody, I really liked ole "TURK". He passed away at 10 1/2 yrs old, during his life he sired many good hounds and a lot of outstanding ones he will live on through these dogs for many generations. If I had to say what the dominate trait he passed on to his pups it would be "TREE POWER" his pups have the ability to get treed quick and hold all the pressure that could be put on them. There are many Grands, Dual Grands, Dual CH And NT CHs across the country that will help me keep this blood going...........Tim

John II was a very special dog to dad and I. Dad has been hunting blue dogs since 80 and mad dogs since 83 or 4. Since I was big enough to walk we pleasure hunted. When we got our first Turk dog (smoke) from Tim I hadn't ever got into the hunts. I took him by myself to my first hunt, he won it and we never looked back. Then robin came along and was the funnest pup we've took from start to finish. Long story short hands down the two best coondogs that have been on our place are out of Turk. Thanks Turk and Tim. He will be missed.

1..Smokie II's sire was CH NT CH PR Mad Dog Smokie(1978 BBOA National King). Smokie's Dam was CH GR NT CH PR Mad-Dog Lucky
2.Power's sire was GR NT CH PR Mad Dog Jake who was sired by Smokie and his dam was by Hammer IV
3.Beulah was sired by Nt Ch PR Mad Dog Gambler, Gambler', dam was NT CH PR Mad Dog Glo and her sire was Nt Ch PR Mad Dog Blue. Blue was around in the early 60's
4.Scratch,Pee Wee and Bannie were all owned by my brother Paul. Paul did not competition hunt for about 6 yrs when he owned these dogs. They were nice hounds.

We will be using it in our breeding program and if anyone is interested in using a starw or two give us a holler.
It will be by private treaty only and I assure you you can afford to use it.
Turk has been on the breeders list and has proven he throws tree dogs with drive to boot. If we can be of service to anone wanting to breed yo Turk, Smoke or Deal give us a shout.

I've been getting calls about Turk pups. We haven't bred any female as of yet. My plan is to use the semen on a couple of females this fall. Thinking of possible cross on GrCh GrNiteCh Big Time Blue Wendy she was 2009 BBOA National Queen of Hunt. Wendy is a daughter to Makie Manns Pounder. Tim Vaughn made this cross once with great success.
Wendy is getting up in age and has crossed super well on Dual Grand Smoke 2012 BBOA National King of Hunt. She is also the mother of Makie's Jet V male out of old Jet V semen.
I also have a young mad dog female that is bred super close to how Smoke's mother was bred. She is only 14 months old and doing great in the woods. She would be my hope of producing another Smoke and Sara. Sara was Smoke's littermate sister and dual Grand also.
I will post it on the board when we make these crosses on Turk.
