Scott, as much as we enjoy hunting it's not fun if your hurting the entire hunt. My shoulder was hurting last year. Surgery has helped and feeling better.
Steve and I hunted tonight. First turnout Bonnie & Maggie struck at 430 yds, Luke had split off around 250 yds. May have been two coon but Luke went past where the gyps struck and they come back our direction and treed a den tree. Luke went 75 yds and treed a coon. Next dump they all struck at 350 yds and the gyps blow up treed, Luke covers, coon was put out to them. Next drop Roscoe, Steve's Walker pup exercised speed beef. We gathered the others crossing the road. Next turnout Bonnie & Luke went 3/4 mile and tree a coon. Next drop Maggie gets treed first at 250 yds with a coon. Next drop they take a good track 650 yds where Bonnie & Maggie get treed. Luke goes on but comes to the tree after we arrive. We had shined the tree not seeing a coon. So I ask him to leave. Then we sent the gyps on. As we were leaving one last look and there it was. Next drop a good track went over a half mile. Luke got away from the gyps treed a big den. Glad he handles good. He was across big water and he came to me. Next drop the gyps get treed at 430 yds with a coon. Last drop Maggie blows up treed on a big den.
