Max you hunting the Casey Hunt the 27th? May be coming with a few others that will hunt, nothing like throwing in a few tough ringers. Couple Walker Night Champions and maybe two too three Blue Night Champions. We could have a party prior to the hunt!

Havent been hunting much Mark! I might as well get him out ta here no more woods time than he gets!! Lol don't think I'll take him to the pound just yet!! Lol I did hunt him last Saturday but didn't do real good. He made 3 trees. 2 dens and 1 tree with 3 coon in it so I guess he made up for the 2 dens since he had 3 in the 1 tree!!! Lol He has probly the most explosive locate on him than any I've ever owned!!!

Max we did as Corey wished tonight, took both Riptide and Jango. Hunted for 1 1/2 hours and made four trees , each had two trees to themselves. First tree Jango treed and Riptide treed about 20 yards from him and they both had coons, I told Corey Jango's should count more since he had three up his and Tide only had one in a small bush! Next dump they hit real quick and both split up and treed about 300 yards apart, Jango's we couldn't shine and Riptide had his, told Corey he was lucky as it would have taken at least 3 men to reach all way around this big boy! Boy they sure don't me too each other too say the least, die hard!

Pup out of Tango and Penny 6 1/2 months old by herself

Took star tonight by herself again made 2 dumps. First dump she hit went about 75 yards and treed it was leafy and I couldn't find it. 2nd dump Star hit ran it down a ditch and in a soybean field for awhile and rolled up on the strip and treed a total about 350 yards. On my way to the tree I seen it walking into her she didn't blow the top out of the tree but she treed good and she stayed and had the meat looking down. Like I have said before no record but not bad for a 6 1/2 month old pup by herself. After that I called it a night.

Max / Max = Now Corey you know just old common Blue dogs can't do those things at this age! I know hunting them and doing the right things makes a difference but so does having the right breed pups. Oh yes she is still a pup but she is well on her way, just need more nights by herself in the honey holes and she will fit right in, who know we just might have our spring young hound to put in the hunts!

Max tell your dad he had better get to work because when we come up she will be coming and don't want to show him up with his reject pup!!!!

Max we took Riptide, Star and Jerry tonight to show Jerry how Star has progressed over the last few weeks. First dump Riptide and Star popped in there about 560 yards and hit a very good track and treed real quick, when we got about 120 from them I told Corey they were not together. Star and Riptide were both treed and about 40 yards apart. Max Star is really looking good and showed Jerry tonight she has that independent streak in her also. Corey has noticed since he has been hunting her by herself she is hunting better, 560 yards with Tide is pretty darn good for a pup and then split tree to top it off. Next dump was on a big creek and Tide got away from Star there, she went about 450 yards and started back where Tide went on and treed about 800 yards from us, but we drove to within 100 yards! Went for home early as we are going to the hunt tomorrow night and needed some shut eye!!!!

Star is looking good for her age. Thanks Mark and Corey for getting her the timber time as that is what it takes. Maybe by this winter she will be treeing those snow covered clear cut coon? Really enjoying this common blue pup!

Max / Max Sr. forgot to tell you Jango got his 4th champion win on the Bench, he needs one more to Grand out. I hope to get that this weekend. He is looking good! We are also planning to try to finish Jango once the leafs are off, I think it can be done if Corey hits the hunts this winter with him, less trees made and more coons!! Told Corey no pressure but he had better finish Tide so he can work on Jango, he deserves a good shot at it! Star should be ready by spring for the hunts if she keeps progressing like she is today! Get rid of the puppy in her and she will do fine!

Star treed 2 days before her 7 month old!! Out of Tango and Penny

Here is a pic of Star treeing with the meat. As far as pups go she is by far the most advance pup that we have had. She hunts good, strikes tracks and trees coons and will split tree on a every night thing. She is by no means a finished coon dog but if she keeps progressing like she is we have very high hopes for her. And like I say anybody is welcome to come for a down hunt with her as we have nothing to hide. She is a very nice young female out of Tango and Penny. Anyone looking for an easy starting well mannered coon dog needs to give Max Duniphan Sr. or Jr a call they still have some good young prospects for sale.

Mark/Corey,
Trying to keep pace with you guys and you are making it tough on my pot-licker. I finished Cowboy to GR CH last weekend and have 3 NT CH wins on him. Hope you guys will be able to make it to the Bunk House Hunt thanksgiving weekend, there will be a lot of Blues there from several different states..........Tim

Max we went for a hunt tonight with Riptides new girl friend. She is a grand daughter to Ron Taylors Dancer dog. Nice looking bitch, put up like a male dog., oh and she can tree a coon. We made the first drop and they went about 175 yards and treed and seen one. Second drop went about 360 yards and treed again, had another one. Both him and his wife were pretty tired so we called it a night. Should be coming in heat the first or second week of Nov., guess we will have a Riptide Jr. then! Corey took a couple pictures of the two of them treeing on the first coon, not much room but no jumping, head slinging or face barking or jocking the tree, straight up tree dog. That is what the old man likes!

Max we got Jango's fifth win on the Bench to Grand him out. We also got Best of Breed, Best of Class and Best of Show with Star. We hunted Riptide but we got what you call a gully washer and after an hour they called time out to catch them and they found Riptide treed, go figure! Withdrew as there was tornado warnings, torrential down pours the rest of the nights hunt. There will be another night!
