Thanks Tommy. Got two firsts on her. She has been in 3 hunts. Treed only coon we seen in the hunt I didn't win but it was 1 minute after hunt ran out. Gone try to get her ChNtCh soon. She turned two last week. Darren.

HUNT

Whew!! Hunted for a little while last night and man it sucked!! Took my nephew and Rickett, I took Charlie, BB and a young dog. First drop turned Rickett and Charlie loose. They struck deep and worked a track across bottom. Finally got treed and drove around. Got to them and they were half heartedly treeing on a blow down. No coon seen. Turned BB and young dog loose and BB must have smelled her a dillar because she came out and got under the truck!! Got her and walked her on in bottom. Her and the young dog covered a lot of ground but never got a bark. Got home at 1:00 am. Gone break out my little coondog tonight and get one treed. Yall Keep'em lookin up!! Darren

HUNT

Took Cotton and my Stroker pup out last night for a while. First drop I turned Cotton alone in the edge of an overgrown field leading into a patch of hardwoods. Cotton left hard and went about 175 yds and just blew up on a tree. She never opened on the ground, just fell treed. She treed solid and I got in there to her she was on a huge den tree. I was by myself and couldn't find coon but the den was worn slick from coons going in and out. Next drop I turned Cotton and my Stroker pup down the creek. They went 750 yds and Cotton opened followed by the pup. I walked down the creek and got closer. They were in a patch of cutover that was full of blackberries. Cotton slung ole Stroker out of pocket in those briars and blackberries and crossed the creek about three times. Cotton soon loaded up and treed hard. Pup came out of blackberry thicket and trailed down the creek. Cotton had a coon in a cottonwood tree. The ole pup put forth a valiant effort to get his track treed but soon gave up and came back by me. He is 8 months old.. I caught him up and called it a night. Stroker is a brother to my pup that got ran over. He is a houndy rascal out of Terry Tibbs Razor male. I raised Razor out of my GrNtChGrCh Pr Southern Blue Frostbite gyp and Hornet. His mama is same as Cotton's so they are half mates. Got to my kennel and put up dogs and my ole Jet male was treed down in swamp below my property. I put my light back on and pulled up my boots and cut out to him. He was in some rough stuff but I finally beat down the briars and made it to him. He had a coon and treed hard. He is nearly 11 yrs old and is out of my GrNtChGrCh Pr Southern Blue Moonshine hound. Ole Jet treed a lot of coons in his prime. I tried to get some pups from him but didn't work out for me. Gone go get'em again tonight!! Yall boys better take off your panties and put on your big boy pants and get them blue dogs in the woods!!! LOL Keep'em Lookin Up!! Darren

HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man it is HOT!! I went for a little while last night. David Gilbert came and brought his Molly gyp I sold him and Matt Smith came and brought his Razor male. I took BB and a young dog I call John Wayne. Ole John is out of NtCh Weller's Blue Stone ( Dual Grand Blue Creek Guage x GrNtCh Crosbys Snooter) his momma is out of GrNtCh Crosbys Smoking Joe. First drop Molly struck followed by John and BB. They worked an old bad track and got split up. Molly got treed and we got to her down on the creek. Ole John came in and climbed up on that tree and let the world know he was there. Good loud hard tree dog. If I can get him consistent he has some potential. He is 19mths old but has seen limited hunting time. BB came in to the tree and I gave her an attitude adjustment for coming in that late. Matt's pup treed some on it and that is the second time he has been hunted. We couldn't spot the coon as it was a big leafy tree. We recut down the creek and soon spotted another one of those legless creatures swimming towards us. We sent him on to his maker. Nice Copperhead!! Two in two nights!! Dogs couldn't get anything going so we caught them up and called it a night. It was thundering and lightning in the distance. I got home at 12:00 so I was glad to get home early for one night!! yall keep' em lookin up!! Darren

Hunt

Went over to Steele and hunted with terry Tibbs last night. Coons weren't stirring to good. Turned cotton and Terry's Carol gyp loose. Carol struck and cotton followed. They worked track for a while and had some problems getting him located. They finally hit a tree with carol just edging cotton on tree. Cotton put on a show for terry as she is a powerful tree dog. We found their coon up large hedge tree. Next drop turned BB and a mate to ole Razor loose. Monroe got deep and got treed but we couldn't find his coon. Caught BB up as she didn't get anything going. Called it a night. Gone toll in house about 3:00 am. Y'all keepem lookin up. Darren.

Well had a guy show up today with his two boys at the kennel. His son has been going huntin with me some. They wouldn't leave until I priced Dolly so I did and he just paid me. Guess that's one less I got to hunt. Gone get after them tomorrow night. Y'all keepem lookin up. Darren.

Jobe x Dixie

Had a ton of calls wanting a pup from Jobe and Dixie. I'm sad to say but she is due on July 6th and she isn't showing or bagged up. It is a heartbreaker for me as I had high hopes for this cross. I spent alot of money for a poor man to get this done but it just didn't work out. Thanks for all the calls, pm's and interest in pups. Darren

hunt

Went for a little while last night. First drop turned out Cotton, John Wayne, and my neighbor and his son took Dolly. Cotton left hard but Dolly and John wanted to be on break I reckon. Dolly acted plumb stupid. Funny how a change in owners can make dogs act crazy. Cotton got struck about 375 yds on a bad track. That is one thing that sets Cotton apart from lots of other hounds is she is going hunting when you cut her. If the others want to stand around or play, they get left in the dust!! John finally went to Cotton and opened some on track. He has got a good mouth for sure. When the bad track left the bottom and went in the hills things slowed way down. Cotton was hustling trying to get treed but I just caught her up. Went for one more drop and that one got us for sure. Turned Cotton and Dolly loose. Dolly acted stupid again but Cotton got deep and struck a track. She worked it for a while and loaded up treed. Got in there and it was a big tree that blowed over into two more trees. We couldn't find coon and Dolly came in and treed with Cotton. Decided to turn off that tree to see if Dolly would hunt better. She did!! We caught her up at about 1:40 am about 3 miles down the creek. Got home and in bed at about 2:15 AM. Not going to be a fun day today!! Yall Keep'em Lookin up !! Darren
