IKE died a few months ago. I wish more hunters took him seriously he was a unreal hound.

Thanks for all the calls and messages on Jam. She made me proud this weekend just ran out of gas in the last cast. Big Congrats to Big, Ruby, and Deacon on getting in the Final 4.

I had my surgery on my knee yesterday. Everything went well but today I am very very sore. Please say a prayer for me if you guys think about it. It's kind of bad timing with the zones and superstakes around the corner but I have some good friends that's going to help me with Jam and Bell.

I'm trying Doug but it's hard with zones right around the corner!

Cut Jam and Bell two times a piece tonight, Jam went 2 for 2 and Bell went 1 for 2 loving the cooler weather. I sat in the truck and heard all the races and a buddy went to them treed.

Jam is out of Main Street Jack and Nite Ch Tracy's Moonlite Dot. Dot was also Main Street Roy Bred. Jam is doubled up on Roy.

Well with my knee surgery last week I didn't have much control over the zones this weekend.

Tom Miller handled Jam for me and she wouldn't hunt a bit for him. A boy that hunts with me handled Bell on Friday night. I got brave and decided to hobble along and handle Bell last night and I won my cast with 550 plus and just missed getting through to the finals.

Jam and Blue on a coon last night. Blue is a 13 month old pup off Jack and Hatchie River Dottie. He is coming along good nice mouth and a super hard tree dog. He is owned by Chris Askew and myself.

I am trying to get Jam ready for some PKC hunts coming up. We finally got a nice rain here in Central Ohio and it cooled things off. I loaded Jam and Blue up and headed out tonight. I cut Jam down a 4 wheeler path and she busted in there quick. Struck in about a minute and drove a track about 300 yards and came treed solid. She was on a big tree and I was lucky to spot the coon.

Next drop I casted Blue and he ran a short track along a corn field and came treed right in about 5 minutes. I didn't see the coon but have a good feeling it was there.

Next drop I casted Jam and she did a super job laying up a big big coon. She never said a word on the ground just threw 2 big locates and turned it right over. It was a huge den but the ole boy was sitting out enjoying the cool breeze.

I am currently hunting a Nite Ch English female for John Vandetta. She just came off pups and only been out one time in 5 months. He dropped her off on Monday and I hunted her one time before hunting her in a cast tonight. She did a fine job and picked up a Nite Ch win.

I guided 2 casts over the weekend and hunted in both. We treed 18 coon. 8 on Friday night and 10 on Saturday night. Don't think I have ever seen so many coon in 2 casts. Coon have sure been running all over around me and climbing easily.

Had a nice hunt tonight with Jam and Blue. Jam treed 2 singles and Blue treed a single also. Very nice night. Low 50s is my favorite hunting weather.

This coon looks like it was up a small tree but it was up this huge oak and went way out on the smallest lowest limb on the tree. The coon was only about ten feet off the ground

Had a nice hunt with Jam, Bell, and a friends Plott last night. We treed a bunch of coon in just a few hours of hunting.
