Went and tried out a nice young male out of Jack x Dixie. The young dog did a very good job for that being his 4th or 5th night in the woods. We hunted him with a Walker dog and Sonic. The young dog treed on 2 coons seen. When cut loose he was hunting. Going to be an intense tree dog. He short bawled and some chop on tree, sounded good. Treed on the 1st coon for a long time and never lost focus. I like what I saw. Nice looking hound too. Sonic treed 2 singles by himself that night.

Went hunting with Bishop and his English male "Mike". Pretty nice dog. I hunted Bash with him. We treed 2 together. Then took Bash by himself for a drop and made a tree, couldn't find the coon.

Just got in from a little hunt tonight. Me and Bash went out for a bit. 1st drop fell treed on a big den. Next drop, short track, tapped a couple trees and locked down with the meat. I then cut him from that tree and he did an outstanding job of getting a track up and going in a very thick hard hunting area, putting a tree at the ended of it with a coon in it. Very happy with how Bash operated. Few pics of my recent hunts posted below.

hey chris sounds like your doing great !!! glad to see these hounds. really like ole one eye jack and have my regrets on letting him go but I will have more!!! 30 some pups at house today?
hope to get out again soon,went with josh fri and sat but 200 some yards kicks my broken ankles ass!! penny treed twice sat wth the meat both times with jack on 2nd tree with her he is what I like these guys are missing out here!!!! let me know when you get one with the big bawl mouth again?

BIG CONGRATS and THANKS to Austin for handling Krypt Friday night. Austin and Krypt won 1st place registered with a nice score of 775. This now gives Krypt a 1st and a 2nd in very limited amount of hunts.

BIG CONGRATS to Tony, Harold and our little female Dixie. Tony and Dixie won 2nd place registered with 375. This now gives Dixie a 2nd and a 1st in very limited amount of hunts.

Got a call about a female out of Jack x Sissy that's down in deep South GA. She is continuing to improve more and more each time out. She was hammer down treed last week in water up to her chest while standinding up on the tree treeing. Had to do a fair amount of swimming while tracking. She's has also been doing her own thing and has gotten split treed and will get gone,go hunting. She is 11months old now. Hopefully she continues to make a nice one.

Talked with John Bishop and he has been hunting with a female out of Jack x Honky Tonk(Vaughn Bred female) that a friend of his owns. She is running and treeing with the old dogs. She has a long dying locate, John said he hasn't heard a long locate like that in a long time. It sounded good. This little female is 9 months old.

Bishop and I went for a hunt last night. It was a light to moderate rain while we were hunting.John hunted Sonic(Jack x Thunder) and I hunted Bash(Jack x Penny). We cut them loose one at a time. We turned Bash loose first. It wasn't long Bash had a track going and treed with a coon seen. Then it was Sonic's turn. we moved and cut Sonic loose. Same type of deal, it wasn't long Sonic was treed with the coon seen. We cut Sonic from that tree and he opened here and there and treed 700 yrds west of us in on a big Hedge tree. we couldn't find the coon. We decided to hunt him back towards the truck, well he went the other way and fell treed in 600 plus yrds to the north of us not too far from a road. I went to Sonic and John went to the truck to drive around and pick Me and Sonic up. Sonic was treed hard on a small tree, first thing it looked like from a distance was a slick, but when I got in there Sonic had 2 kittens treed. Heard the term "2 looking down"?, Well Sonic had "4 looking up' We headed home and I decided to cut Bash loose one more time. Once again, it wasn't long, Bash was treed with 2 looking down. The young dog has been looking good and been super accurate. I gave him a pat on the head and we head to Hardee's for a Hamburger. Bash enjoyed his and mine wasn't bad. John Bishop has a very nice litter of pups out of Sonic and a Bullet II female. This is Sonic's first litter.Tucker's coon scent drives them nuts. The video below is only the 4th time the pups have been work with a scent drag. Treeing on scent only. The video is not the best. You just had to be there. Nice acting, good looking, very nice mouths and coon scent crazy. Pups just turned 4 months old. Check out the video below:

6 consecutive months on the Top 5 UKC Bluetick Performance Sires List. We are also seeing the reproduction strengths being passed on to Jack pups. Seeing some very nice pups that are grandpups to Jack. This is the reproduction trait that seperates the best of the best, and makes them a true reproducer.IMO.

Simple facts are Jack is not getting any younger. He is reproducing nice pups. "TIME" will catch up to ole Jack. Get ya a shot of Jack before its gone.

I had the opportunity to invite Jeff Lovell, Phil Davis on a pleasure hunt on Friday Night. Tony Lane and Trey Melton also came along to see the hounds go. We met up with another friend of mine Josh Enlow, Josh guided us on this pleasure hunt. We hunted 4 dogs. Jeff had a young female, not sure of her name or what she was out of, Phil hunted the "Bocephus" dog out of Bo x Sadie, Josh hunt "Jack" a young male out of Harpeth River Blue Jack X the China female I had, I hunted "Bash", Bash is out of Harpeth River Blue Jack X Anderson Fox Creek Penny that Lowell Stewart owns. The hunt wasn't the best but we had a good time. First drop we cut all 4. It wasn't long and we heard dogs treed. Bocephus and Bash were treed together on a hedge, couldn't find the coon. Jack was split treed about 40 yrds from Bo and Bash, couldn't find Jack's coon. Jeff's female was running track in the corn. We got all dogs together and cut back loose. On this 2nd drop, Bo, Bash and Jack were treed together on a large maple den. Jeff got his hands on his female and we all headed back to the truck. We went to another spot and cut them loose again. Jack falls treed by himself not far from us, we let him tree a while. Bash hits in there close to Jack , but takes a track on to the south, hitting here and there . We go to Jack, can't find the coon and recast him. Bo, Bash and Jeff's female come treed. We get there, Bo is treed on a big oak . Bash and Jeff's female split treed from Bo about 30 yrds on a big oak also. We shined both trees and was unable to find coons. The Jack dog was on in deeper. It was getting late, Jeff, Phil, Trey and Tony headed back to Flora. I went on with Josh to help him get Jack gathered back up. We drove around to the next section and was able to get real close to him and Josh called him on in. All in all it wasn't that bad of a hunt, just couldn't find the coons. A couple trees, Im sure they missed. There was a couple trees, I believe the coon was there, but you never know. It was an enjoyable night listening to the hounds go and a pleasure hunting with theses men and their hounds.

JACK IS A 2015 PKC SUPER STAKES SIRE AND WILL BE A 2015 UKC PERFORMANCE SIRE AS WELL.

Jack was recently taken to the Vet for a check up. Happy to say, Jack has a clean bill of health and still has an excellent sperm count. However Jack is getting older and won't be around forever. NOW, is the time for a shot of JACK. Give Mike Dunn a call and get it set up.


I was recently told about a young female(under 2yr old) out of Jack down south that now has (2)UKC first place wins and a best of show. This female is out of Jack x Dixie(BoBo x Ann). I have been hearing for a while now about this female, that she is a nice hound. It sounds like she may be at the Oilfield $5000 next weekend. Best of Luck to her.

KRYPT MADE THE SEMI FINALS AT THE OILFIELD $5000 LAST WEEKEND. KRYPT HAD INJURED A BACK LEG FRIDAY NIGHT. IT WAS AFFECTING HIS PERFORMANCE SATURDAY NIGHT AND AUSTIN WITHDREW HIM. KRYPT HAS BEEN LAID UP THIS LAST WEEK TO GET HIS LEG HEALED UP, HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE BACK UP AND RUNNING WITHOUT ANY LEG TROUBLES. THERE WERE ALOT OF TOP BLUES THERE. IT WAS A NICE HUNT, WITH ALOT OF NICE BLUE DOGS AND ALOT OF NICE FOLKS. IT WAS A GOODTIME. CONGRATS TO ALL THAT ADVANCED, AND HOPE EVERYONE THERE HAD A GOOD TIME.

KRYPT IS OUT OF JACK X THUNDER.
