I think I'm about the only one on this entire thread that still hunts. A lot of memories looking at this thread. Ol Ike turned into a coon treeing machine. He chewed awful bad and that's what kept him from greatness, I think about him every week and try so hard to recall that big locate he had.

I'm blessed to have 2 of the best pair of dogs I've owned and I hope the good Lord continues his goodness.

Trevor I had forgot all about this thread....Remember having the Blaze dog that Merle hunted for me.... Never got a pup out of him as he died before we had a chance to.... That and breaking my leg in '13 pretty much stopped my hunting like so many others still have hounds but don't hunt enough to be called a hunter anymore...lol Still like to see a good one go now and then, got a fair dog in the kennel now going to waste....

I hear you there Harold, sorry to hear about your leg. I had knee surgery in 2015 and now have to have surgery on my ankle here in the next 2 months.

I hunted Jam, Blue, and Jack Jr last night. It was bright but the cooler temps was nice. They all 3 treed a coon each then when I was walking out of the last spot Blue bear hugged a tree on a fence row while I had him on the leash and went crazy. Sure enough had a coon up it.
