Mine is pretty quick to open but is very honest..no stupid babbling. He is a little tight after he strikes..I think he is just right..he'll let you know which direction the coon is going ans that's about it.

As in most heavy lipper bred hounds mine is cold nosed but not extremely. He'll put his head down and figure one out only if he has too.

Me and Daniel were talking today about how almost unbelievable it is how Bear is throwing so many same traits in his pups of different females. Big hunting, big mouth looking to get treed with a coon.

My young dog off of bear just finished to Nite Champion at 20 months old. He has more desire and more heart than any dog I have seen in a few years. He does not hunt for himself he hunts for ME! These pups want to be your buddy and please their master. That to me means BRAINS!

I have high hopes for the cross between my Faith female and bear. I honestly can't wait to train another Bear pup. These pups will probably make anyone look like an A-1 trainer..at least I hope so!

He's 10.5 hasn't been out of the kennel since one night this winter and before that is was last year in spring I think I took him out once . He's lost a step due to not hunting him . I've been hunting pups outa him past 3 years and having a blast with them , remind me alot of bear . From what I've seen of bear in the breeding category is your absolutely going to keep the standard you have or you will get better. It doesn't matter what I've bred him to yet as far as pedigree goes ... But I will say every dog he's been bred to is either titles, won money or I've hunted with it and can vouch for the ability. Titles don't mean alot or as much as they used to but I think in trying to breed to good bitches is just as much a factor as having a good stud . Out of every litter I've seen out of bear personally and off the different females I can see his traits show up in his pups. Walk out to my kennel and flip any of my 3 pups outa bear and you will see alot of similarity in all of them but with each of them having their own tools or talent.

My favorite thing about these pups Justin said , they hunt to please and tree coon for the guy that feeds them . Not for themselves . They want to be your buddy and know when your mad or happy . Real smart

The Fred bear dog of mine has a heart the size of Texas an sometimes way too big of a hunting gear if I don't have him hunted down . They aren't perfect, but they suit me just fine for killing coons in season and winning hunts on the weekends

I got a green pup off of Bear a couple months ago and I am sold. This 9 month old pup is running and treeing tracks that other dogs can not smell. He is so coon scent KRAZY that a hot track will blow his mind but oh my god to watch him operate on an old bad feed track will make you smile. Easiest starting pup I have ever had. He aims to please me and tries his ****est to do so. The worst thing you can do to him is slap him in the face you would think you have killed him it breaks his heart. I hunt hard and it took 2 straight weeks of 7 hours a night to get him gutted, and I think the only thing that did it was he had 2 toenails broke off into the foot and he still hunted like that for 3 nights. Needless to say I will be looking for another hear real shortly I believe these dogs have the HEART, DRIVE,ABILITY and most important they try to please you not themselves. Any one is welcome too come for a hunt I will show him any time any weather no excuses he is for real. Watch for him at next years spring super stakes BAD TRACK OSCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
