I have 3 males to get finished this season, one already has a 1st and 2nd on him and another just about ready for the hunts. The third just needs a little fine tuning on him and he will be ready. All three sired by John II and different females........Tim

Ruger is from the John IIx Polly cross he is running and treeing with shelly and has split treed.

Alibi (Ali) is from the John II x Lucy cross she is also running and treeing with shelly

we are now starting to put them out by them selves these pups will be ready for the spring hunts, and when I say ready I mean win ready ......Gerald

cooler weather

hoping for some cooler weather so the snakes want move near as much so I can hunt Shelly in some hunts before she get,s loaded down with the pups, I am afraid to hunt her with it still this warm , don,t want to get her bitten and risk loosing the pups......Gerald

mad dog Ruger (turk x polly)

Ruger is about 14 months old, he belongs to my son-n-law and does not get the hunting he needs, I took him last night by himself, his first night out alone, he went hunting struck 335 yards in went 200 more yards bawling about every 80 yards or so, layed down on a tree with a dying bawl then fell into a chop and had the meat, nice job done by this youngster.....Gerald

came home from a dinner one of our local clubs had yesterday, Ruger and Ali both were gone, looks as if Ali clumb out of the pen, Ruger was loose her in the yard, I guess they went hunting and has not come home yet, sure hope they show up soon.......Gerald

Pups

Glad you found them. It is an uneasy feeling comming home to an empty pen. Happened to me a couple of winters ago. Came home from the city late and could hear a dog treed about half mile to the west. Wondered to my self who was such a die hard hunter to be out on a super cold snow blowing night. Stood there for a minute and told Sherrie that sounds like my dog. sure enough it was.
Is your season in yet? Ours opens the 14th of November.

our season starts about the same time yours does, I am ready for it with these young dogs, My goal is to have these two Turk pups ready for the hunts in the spring, Tim probably would not mind a couple more ntch,s on Turks resume by mid summer or so, so we will see what we can do, Shelly,s pups are due around the 16th of nov. and we are excited, I am ready for them, WE may have to set up a date for shelly and smoke her next time around .........Gerald
