Well, we went hunting last night and I was bent on deciding which dog to carry for the weekend. We have been hunting both of them by themselves. On the first drop clyde went way up a hollow, struck and ran a nice track back down towards the truck (how often does that happen?) and SLAMMED the tree. He had a big coon. I thought it was a done deal that Clyde just earned the trip.

On the next drop we turned out Swag and he drifted down through a patch of woods struck on the river and treed and had a double by himself!

Just when I thought I had it figured out...

I had a great trip to South Eastern Black n Tan days at Travelers-Rest SC, Money looked good but the handler got behind on the call on the only coon we treed,

Wont to give a shout out to Ray Conrad and Brite Eyes lights, I stopped by early Friday and had new battery's put in two of my 21 volt belt lites, Great serves, Great price, Good People.

We had a great hunt at Southern Black and Tan days also! I hunted Clyde (Bean x Dual Gr Trackman's Spare Change). We hunted near Spartanburg, SC. He was a little slow out of the gate but after the first drop he showed the way. Clyde ended up with 300+, scored two coons with no minus. We scored another tree that we ended up circling that he was holding 200 points on. We treed the last coon a little after midnight. I drove back Saturday morning, turned him loose saturday night in a local hunt out of Danville, VA. He showed the way off the get go and acted like he was unphased by the 5 hour drive and treed a coon in style on the first drop. If his handler hadn't been so anxious and treed him too early I think he would have put on a show. It was the first time I've treed coons in two states that were not joined together in the same day.

Tim- It was good to see you! Hopefully we'll find out something about the "project" we discussed.

We slowed down pushing him just because we had a few other irons in the fire and had several pups to train. They are doing well so now we are back to pushing him right along and enjoying him. We are looking to put him a few bigger hunts this year- likely the grand american and SETWD for sure. I would like to eventually get a few pups out of him when the right female comes along...

We should get together for a hunt sometime!
