ILL AGREE, I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT PEANUTS, [GROUND IS TO ROCKY AND HARD TO GROW PEANUTS ROUND HERE] , BUT MY SOUTHERN BROTHER, I CAN FISH, [TROUT, CATFISH, BASS, CRAPPIE, BLUEGILL ETC.]. ANYWAY, WHAT I MEANT WAS THIS IS NOT THE PEANUT PART OF THE GREAT STATE OF OL VIRGINNY, [THAT BELONGS TO THE SANDY SOIL OF EAST VA., BELOW RICHMOND, [CAPITOL OF THE CONFEDERACY BY GOSH!!]. ANYWAY, I WOULD LOVE TO TRY SOME COOKED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO BOIL EM PEANUTS, [BECAUSE I AM GREEN AS YARD GRASS ABOUT BOILED PEANUTS]. GOD BLESS YALL ALL.
AHH EEEEYE! I'd love to trade a lesson from you on catching trout for me to help out on boiled Pnuts. I Love ya man. I've seen a good many letters from Confederates to their Bretheren that would say that kind of thing and nobody would think twice about it. What? one in a thousand back then? Like they say , fresh is always best. Cast Iron pots are perfect for cane, not blackstrap sorghum syrup, but not worth their weight in gold for Pnuts . JMO and LOL. PS If you ever get a chance when you get to a place like Richmond, I recon, get a pint of Lyle's Golden Syrup. It still bears the Queens Arms and you got to open it like a paintcan. But that cane suryp is better than honey. If you think you are like me and ain't got long to live , then you might want to enjoy some of the finer things of life , past a good coondog which is the finest, I'll agree. Try Lyle's Golden Syrup.
