Hi Everyone!

Doing fine here! COLD and SNOWBLIND...and ready for Spring.... Our power is fine. Today's sunshine is taking some of the snow off the straining trees etc... The kids had a one hour delay at the High School. We were lucky. There is DEEP snow. It is about 15 compact inches BUT... before the wet stuff came it was deeper. We kept after it so it was an "easy" dig out. Not everyone did though! OUCH on THEIR backs!
I walked around today snapping some pix. I don't plan to gettem on the comp till the weekend or later... just too busy curdawg sitting... She like s to go In and Out and chase birds and squirrels and rats... and it is a process... I'm enjoying her stay... while her own family is in CANCUN... but I will enjoy her departure too!

Johnny, Hope you wont be gone long!!! Take care and we'll be waiting!

Later, Gators, Heather

PS... BRRRRrrr I HATE winter and... No Clue what the temp was this am... forgot to look at the temp on the cam before I erased pix... Ooops.... Not too bad... but still WINTER

Looking forward to this! lol... I always prefered the heat and humidity till I fried my lungs(I ignored a chest cold WAY too long) and gave myself asthma.... I still PRefer it but have to stay inside like a little OLD lady if it gets bad. Then again the COLD triggers some tuff breathing too! LOL...

The "melting" Barely happened today with the sunshine. It is staying cool... Did lose a good amount of snow from the roof tops But the trees are still sagging... It is VERY pretty and WAY too bright without sunglasses.
Interesting to see which critters venture out in the bad weather. We had a possum as the storm started, getting the marshmellows, a coon last night (no marshmellows for him!) and a fox just before the storm at one of the other cams... Probably rat hunting... During the storm of course the activity was slow and then all the birds came back and the grey squirrels too. The little adorable red squirrel we have (only 1 so far) ate like a HOG the day before the storm.... and stayed denned up yesterday. The skunks have NOT come out in the deep snow. I never knew who did what when till we got the cams. USELESS information but fun none the less! LOL!

Winter in New England! lol HEather

Sweet Old Couple

An elderly lady was invited to an old friends home for dinner one evening.

She was impressed by the way her lady friend preceded every request to her husband with endearing terms such as: Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.

While the husband was in the living room, her lady friend leaned over to her hostess to say, 'I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your husband all those loving names'.

The elderly lady hung her head. 'I have to tell you the truth,' she said, 'his name slipped my mind about 10 years ago, and I'm scared to death to ask what his name is.'

The Blind Bunny

One morning a blind bunny was hopping down the bunny trail and tripped over a large snake and fell right on his twitchy little nose.

"Oh please excuse me," said the bunny. "I didn't mean to trip over you, but I'm blind and can't see."

"That's perfectly all right," replied the snake. "To be sure, it was my fault. I didn't mean to trip you, but I'm blind too, and I didn't see you coming. By the way, what kind of animal are you?"

"Well, I really don't know," said the bunny. "I'm blind, and I've never seen myself. Maybe you could examine me and find out."

So the snake felt the bunny all over, and he said, "Well, you're soft, and cuddly, and you have long silky ears, and a little fluffy tail and a dear twitchy little nose. You must be a bunny rabbit!

The bunny said, "I can't thank you enough. But by the way, what kind of animal are you?"

The snake replied that he didn't know either, and the bunny agreed to examine him, and when the bunny was finished, the snake asked, "Well, what kind of an animal am I?"

The bunny had felt the snake all over, and he replied, "You're cold, you're slippery, and you haven't got any balls.... You must be a politician."

Nice Pix wbond...

...but TOO COLD to think of it.... Look at the bloody tail end on the walker...CRINGE... Too much waggin?

24 degrees here. Was SOOOoooCOld this am my fingers were GONE when I got back in.. stood in the heated garage, temp 57...near tears thinking of going into the heated house. I DID warm up though... It was NOT that bad really I don't think BUT... no breakfast=cold fingers! Not even a critter was stirring last night...and the cam has a nice pumpkin pie Bob forgot he cooked sitting there. (it was in my "egg fridge"... and we are out of eggs.. I happened to open it to get the thermometer out of it..and found the pie! LOL. I don't eat pumpkin pie or it would have been long gone! It smelled REALLY delish. It had dried out and the spices were real strong...YUM.. but no critters to eat it yet....
Funny jokes. Always GOOD to laugh at least once a day!

Stay warm everyone! Heather

LOL... sorry , just getting on here... Under the weather, which is rather cool... was about zero this am. Didn't go out till late cause I had a fever....
The cams... NOT much when this cool. The squirrels for sure, even the little red one came out to eat yesterday and this am. LOTS of birdies. Got some nice pix of the red belly woodpecker but have to edit them(for size) and I'm too lazy to do it yet.... Something killed a bird in one of the cams BUT it was between pix series..Bob was MAD, he was DYING to see what got it... Got a red fox a couple days or so ago... The baby coon(now full grown) have gone off on their own and we get one big fat one every few nights now. This deep snow DEFINATELY keeps the skunks in the dens. Even the possum is here less with the snow and COLD. The Primos cam, that has the temp. went NUTS last nite and was saying it was 151 and 123 and 93 and 89 etc... today...LOL.. it was actually up to 2 and possibly below zero. FUnny to see us in coats, all bundled up with the temp over 100! LOL...
OK, gotta see wassup on here, watching football and hoping to stay awake till Daisy's family comes home from Cancun... THEY will be CHILLY! LOL....

HEather
