Sounds like Roofus is reproducing.......I know where 3 from the Roofus Silvertone cross are doing good......

Rockie is it a male or female? All three that I had from this cross are doing well. Blu the one I kept is making a huge hound I had him weighted a few days ago and he tipped the scales @ 67.4 lbs and he just turned 7 months old yesterday. If you hear of any of them forsale let me know I have 2 guys wanting one bad...Keep me posted... JR

THANKS!!!

I would like to thank everyone that supports Roofus and to everyone that hunts offspring of his. I am getting some real good feedback off his last litter of pups I have heard all but one out of the six are well started. The one I haven't been able to get in contact with...
I really would like to cross Roofus with a Silvertone female again... The one I leased earlier this year has changed hands so I probably won't get to bred her again...
I will be making a special anouncement sometime after the first of the year...
Most of all phone calls and text messages that I recieve are from guest to this website. I always try to encourage them to join... I wish they would so they could leave feedback themselves.
I have a new mini 2 part cell phone video of Champion Lakeland's Bawlie on another bear. I will post as soon as I get them uploaded... The guy loves him and money can't buy him...
Thanks to all the phone calls that I have recieved I have had the pleasure of talking to really nice guys that know the breed better then I will ever know...
Sorry to those that have wanted or wants pups that I don't have I am trying hard to put them on the ground so maybe someday they will have one..

Roofus is known for his cold nose and frozen ground tracking abilities and is passing it on to his offspring...

Junior, does the reward apply to Roofus pups already born? There is a littermate to Bawlie and Chopper that is tough, she would probably be a competition hunt winner but a 75 year old man owns her.

The gentlemen that wants a pup from this cross are hardcore hunters that knows what it takes to get the most out of a dog!!!! I can honestly say if more pups could get into these type of hunters hands the % of reproduction would be alot higher!!!

Sounds GREAT Randy!!!

It is cold here we ended up with about 5-8 inches of snow depending on where you are the high mountains got 12 inches and up. It was 8 degrees this am @ 5:30... Great weahter to be hunting Roofus this is the time of year he shines...

I have videos of Roofus treeing coon in the snow and ice. It never slowed him down but it was pure he*l for me.

The word I got is that his daughter is the same kind of dog, when you turn her loose, the next time you will see her is under a tree somewhere. She may end up in my kennel some day soon. We are using her as a pup trainer now (at 2 years old).

Thanks for all the PM's I get about my pics & etc.

To all of those who are wondering how I create them. I will try my best to explain. But first and foremost I am no computer gooroo like some think I am. Those nights when I should be hunting I am creating pictures. You don't need to buy no fancy program because they avalible online for FREE. Believe me I have spent my fair share on different programs in the past before I knew better and you nearly get the same results... Nearly everything I do is through PHOTOBUCKET with the exceptions of my video's... The best teacher in this is just do it. It will seem complicated but it really isn't it is more time consuming then anything. First upload you a back ground picture if you dont have one search for images becareful in which you select some are copyrighted. Here is how my picture started..

Then I clicked edit photo and selected to merge another photo from my album which was this photo..

Now comes the harder part of the creation. I had to earse the area that I didn't want to use. In this case all I wanted to use was the tree and Roofus. Now that everything I didnt want has been erased I can put Roofus anywhere on the background I want to put him once I postioned him where I wanted him I saved a copy and came up with this picture...

I then selected edit and clicked decorate add text. You can select different types of fonts, colors ect just use what ever suits you the best. Please note I always click the transparent background box. Once I got all the letter in I wanted and the way I wanted it I clicked save a copy and came up with this picture...

Here is a 7 month old pup out Roofus treeing

'PR' PLAIN ENGLISH'S LAKLAND 'OL BLU

This made Blu's 6th trip to the woods and has ran and treed everytime he was first taken at 4 months old. This is a Roofus/Silvertone cross. This seems to have been a great cross. I am very excited about how Blu turns out...

It is snowing on top of freezing rain we currently have about 4+ inches on snow and freezing temps. I was looking forward to turning some hounds loose tonight because I have tomorrow off but looks like that may not happen. Our Grand Daughter turns 3 tomorrow and the old Grand Son turn 3 five days later and the yougest turns 3 five months later and a new Grand Son coming in mid April. We are gonna try our best to hunt @ Southern English Days this year with Roofus.

Thanks for all of the Pm's that I have recieved about differnt things and double thanks on the kind words on Blu...

Randy (ravenrock) I haven't forgotten about you and things are slowing down some now they are starting cut back hours so maybe we can hook up sometime soon. PM your address so I can Google it and come up with a plan to get the hunt going.. Thanks, JR

Randy (ravenrock) I googled your address its shows 2hrs 59mins. Now to get the weather to play its part. Sorry for the delay in getting this going..Thanks for the reply and I will be paying close attention to the weather and moon phases.
However I got put back on a 6 day schedule last night. I had to fire one salesman and another one quit. So I hafta pick up the hours.
That didn't go over to well at home beings we had a BIG birthday party planned for the Grand Daughter today. She is over 2 hrs way so Penny had to go by herself she may spend the night up there depending on the weather.
It si still snowing at a chilling 18 degrees they are calling for 1-2 today and 2-4 more inches of snow tonight. If Penny don't make it back tonight I may go hunting just to be going heck I just might run across an ol' rutting boar...
Roofus is still over at the other place where Gypsy is so I won't be taking him if I do go. I know it isn't a good night but it'll beat sitting at home. However I may decide to stay home and watch the Broncos and Patriots play.. I will be rooting for the underdog... JR

Jr., females don't usually show until about 3 weeks before whelping. That is why I like to see the dogs hooked up. Then, I know what day to expext pups. I am hoping she got stuck, it should be a great cross.

No SIR.. Roofus isn't For Sale at any price he will die here...

If anyone tries to to contact me via cell phone I am out of service until Monday. We came to camp however you can contact me here.... We will be leaving 5:30 am on Monday I have to work monday. I was hopping to turn a hound loose but thats not gonna happen it is way to FOGGY.

I hope to get at least 100 pups on the ground out of him. I am still hoping to have him drawn. I have a hard time thinking that the cost is worth it. But like a friend of mine "Ken" told me. "Well JR its like this 40 years from now when you wish Roofus was still around it will be worth it".
I think more of Roofus than any hound that I have ever owned and I have owned some dandy's. I let my Oney stuff slip away and don't plan on ever letting that happen this time. It depresses me that I don't get to hunt as much as I would like to. I know without a doubt he can become a Grand Nite Champion with ease. But he can't do it sitting at home in his kennel... I have tried to hunt him in the bigger local hunts to prove a point but I may have to be like some of these other guys and take to a hunt of few hounds. But to me that isn't fair to him. With that being said I hope to get him in some hunts this year.
