Tim,
I know that it's been a long time since I've posted anything here, but I've been tired! Working a full time job, keeping kids out of trouble and hunting at night will make you that way... Oh, and trying to keep a wife somewhat happy!
I would like to say thank you for all of your advise with Holly! She is one of the smartest, friendliest, most willing to please her owner dog I've ever had! She is really just a pet that loves to put coons in the tree! Apart from getting her straightened out from her dog food, she was an easy dog to train and hunt. If I wouldn't have been remodeling my house last year, I believe she would have been night champion last year.
I started this competition hunting in January this year, and I tell you that I don't believe that I have ever met more lying, cheating people in my life! There have been some good people that I've met along the way and I really appreciate them! She has been the best dog in most of her hunts but I have lost several of them for us. It really shouldn't have taken 3 months to do this. I don't understand where the honor is in using the rules to hurt everyone else in the cast and then bend them so that your dog can benefit. It's no wonder that I hear people complain everywhere I go about not many people being at the hunts.
She is my youngest son's dog and he doesn't want to sale her, otherwise I would have been sold her to you! Only because she is something special and I know that in the right hands, she could really do something. I have pleasure hunted with several people that have said that she is the best young dog around here and how did I do it. I am good with dogs but she really just had it in her. She was treeing cats here at 4 months old, treed her first coon at 5 1/2. It was a split tree with an old dog hammering on a tree about 20 yards away.
I could go on but I know this already a long post. She was the smallest dog out of the litter, I think, and the last to be picked! Thank you for letting me have her under the circumstances! In a sport full of dishonest bullies, it is nice to meet people that still have honor and integrity!
God bless,
Ryan Evans
Ryan all I can say is there are more good people than bad, just keep doing what your doing and let NtCh Hardwood Holly Bean do the rest.
