I hunted dragon last night. Jeff Wyatt and I treed a couple of coons he hunted is Sid dog. Jeff is a good hunter. He is very patient with dogs and knows his way around the woods.

I haven't hunted Magic at all this year. I bet he will go tree a coon just like he has been turned loose every night. He is a very consistent coon treeing hound even at 9.6 years old. Still looks good. I'd like to see him get bred a few more times. I have faith he will produce some good coon treeing dogs with legs and mouth with looks and ears to boot. His only litter started at 6 months old that were given a chance. One is being worked with now so we shall see if she gets it right.
I believe I have been fairly successful with this line of dogs I have had and won my far share. I'm always looking to improve into what I have.
Me living in town doesn't give me the a chance to keep a few extra and push them.
I hoping to finish Maggie into Dual Grand and breed out then breed back into my dogs. The Magic x Maggie cross did well. I'm just not sure what way to go the will enhance what I have already yet. I'm looking. Dragon might be what I've been looking for be time will tell once I put him in the hunts. Maggie need two nite champion wins to be Dual Grand. So one step at a time. Thank to those who have bought and hunted hounds from myself and well as Dall Haden. Keep me posted if you have some of my blood in your hounds.

Managed to get out for a little while last night. I hunted Dragon and Josh Hoffman took his 6 month old walker pup. We didn't do any good. Dragon did run one in the ground. It was nice just getting out.

Thanks George. I'm just trying to better the breed any way I can even if it means sending dogs to some else. I have bred some nice female when Timber was alive and had the honor to be on the reproducers list for a long time.
Magic and Dragon if given a chance and produce some nice hounds I believe. Once I get Maggie finished I will push Dragon and if all goes well he will finish quickly. Magic is 9.5 year old and I only hope he gets a chance to breed a few females. I think people will be happy if they take a chance on him. Everyone like something different. Well I like dogs that tree coons and not blank trees all night. So if that keeps me from breeding a lot of females I'm fine by that. I will keep doing what I have been doing and we shall see what happens.

I can't believe Dragon is only 15 months old. He seems older than that. I guess I can't really complain about him. One more season on him and he should be ripe. Time will tell.

I haven't hunted Maggie since last Saturday at a hunt. I must admit I can't expect to win if I don't hunt during the week. She sure enough is a coon treeing machine but she is also way out of shape for the hot weather. But we lost period. Maybe tonight will be different.
I've got to get off my tail and hunt these dogs in this weather if I expect to get good results. Nobodies fault but my own.

I got more hair loss that is why I'm balding now. Dragon well he is learning still. He has got a lot of upside to him. Then again he has his faults. He did tree a possum last night even split treed to do it. I figured it was going to happen at some point. He might not want to do that again.
We did manage to get a coon treed after a good race.
I hunted with Jeff and Charlie Wyatt along with Cole Johnson. It was fun and a good laugh. Nothing we had out was over 2 just young dogs learning what to do and not to do. I'm so tired at work not sure what I was thinking last night.

I cut him loose and went hunting right away. He got stuck in about 350 yards and worked a good track and got treed with a sow and a kittens at 575. Next drop we went in and go stuck but ran the coon in a silo. I saw a sow and three kittens walking down a creek under a bridge with two more sitting up. I called it a night.
