Your right Phil Shine sure is a good lookin female. Her mother Belle is as good looking as they come. That cross has sure reproduced some nice dogs. Pedigree wise she is as solid as they come. Her bottom side has Jaggs (RC and Jenny) and Hornet. I have a feeling she will produce some nice pups down the road.

Hard to believe that the Logan and Hammer Head cross has been made going on the 4th week. Can not tell if she is bred yet but I have my fingers crossed.

Scott I hope Hammerhead has a sack full. They went thru the motions so maybe we hit her right.

It is still hard to tell but I think my Dixie gyp is bred. We bred her the week before Hammerhead. She looks like she may be getting a little belly on her.

Carried Belle to vet yesterday for brucellosis test. Should have results today. We will try to get her bred too.

Talked to another gentleman yesterday about a blue gyp. Says she is really nice. Gone try to go hunting with her. He is interested in breeding her to Logan.

I picked up Pr Frost Hollow Blue Belle this weekend. Got her negative brucellosis test yesterday. She will be bred to Logan this week. PROVEN CROSS!!

Good luck with Dixie, Can not quite tell yet with Hammer Head but I hope she is.
If you go back aways and not too far on the Logan and Dixie pedigree you will see alot of Bean's Ranger in there through Hawk and Ranger II. Should be some nice ones.

Thanks Darren,
I appreciate you working with Logan to get some females bred. I do believe Hammer Head is bred for sure. In the last week she has started to put some belly on so I would give it about a 90% chance she is going to have pups. Cold out here today was about 12 this morning so between that and the 9 day deer gun season we will be on the sidelines for a few days. Good luck with your litters you got coming. Looks like ol' Logan will be having a few this winter.

Scott that is a good looking hound.

Logan is doing well. Got a call from a Rob Miles yesterday. He has been inquiring about breeding to Logan. He said that his gyp looks to be coming in heat. He has decided to breed her to Logan. Should be a nice cross. Dixie can tree her own coon and is a hard chop mouth tree dog. I hunted with her since she was a pup. She treed her first coon alone at 7 months old and never looked back. She is out of GrChNtCh PR Drip's Southern Blue Duece owned by Jason Seale. Duece is out of Dual Grand Washburn Valley Drip, out of Hornet and GrNtCh Blue Clear Sky which goes back to Hawk. Her mother is a coon dog as well and is out of Sandbergs Breeding, going back to Sparetime Spanky. If everything works out I will post her full pedigree.

I believe we will be getting a litter out of Ol' Logan and the Hammer Head around Christmas.

Picked up this nine year old female to hunt the young dogs with once in awhile. She looks like she is 4. Don't know if I will ever breed her but I sure like her Bloodline. Not too many pedigrees with Blue Run Gentleman in anymore. That dog did alot of winning years ago.

Scott my Clover dog off of Logan and Heather is progressing. I think he is going to make a real solid hound that will tree a lot of coons. He is not going to make a competition dog. Opens good on track by his self but rarely opens on track if another dog is with him. Will split tree and take pressure. No roughness issues at tree. Is developing a chewing issue that I am trying to minimize. Slow locator but extremely accurate. Avg mouth great locate. Sixty pounds of muscle. Dog is even hard in his flanks. Bottom line I can leave here with just him and expect to see 1 to 3 coons. He has been relatively trash free, 3 deer and one armadillo. I have a good handle on him and he is intelligent. He is going to make it.

Thanks for the update Charlie. Sounds like he took a little of each dogs traits. Sounds like he will be a good solid dog. Heather is slow to locate when you hunt her alone but when you hunt her with another dog she likes to be first. Logan you could always put on the paper with a locate alone or in company. Both Logan and Heather have been very accurate dogs and naturally straight.
Good luck with him in the future.
