I heard from a very reliable source that Lone Pine Lady's paper were false. She was out of a Redtick and a Black and Tan(high tan).

Goes Back To Finley River Chief At LEAST 52 Times

Brogy,

Your pup goes back to Finley River Chief at LEAST 52 times. I am still working on it. There are some dogs in her pedigree that don't go back to Chief but go back to dogs related to him. Some go back to his father Sonny Boy and some go back to one of Chief's sisters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chief showed up a few more times before I am done carrying this out.

I hope this helps.

With that pedigree, would you consider her a "Finley River bred" dog?
How was Johnson's Danny boy bred?
I'd wish I go go back another 2-3 generations....
What about Sugar Loaf Chief? Finley River Dan? Finley River Pete? Finley River Joe? Hook's Kermit? Table Rock Mundo Jr? White River Rick? FR Banjo? Melody Bill? Did River Bend Flag have any Finley River blood?

I was there at the beginning and know where the Lone Pine actually was that is the name sake of the breed.

I'll put my two cents in after reading 14 pages of this post. Lee Farris had a dog named Paducha. She was one power house of a dog and a reproducer. One guy that sorta knows a little about coondogs named Steve Brookshier told me that he went to visit Lee to get a pup and Lee told him that Paducha had taken her pups up in the mountains and the usually stay gone for a week. The story goes that Lee wanted some pups from Paducha out of a solid "not too much drive" stud dog. He bred her to Ozark Preacher. Out of this litter came some famous reproducer such as Schmersals Queen. John Wick is quoted in saying that this was one of the most influential crosses in walker history. Paducha was also bred to Finley River Buck and alot of older gentleman have told me that this was a better cross and that most of your top of the line dogs today come from this cross.

I wouldn't be surprised if your hound went back more times then 23 but it has been so long since I told you I would work on this for you, I wanted to send you some numbers on your hound.

Sorry to hear that Seth. She had some old Finley River blood in her, I was hoping you'd get a litter out of her.

finley river dan and herns crowding cindy produced world ch gr nite ch herns red eagle di-ck. red eagle di-ck sired world ch gr nt smokin joe and world ch gr nt sparkys alabama eagle.a son of alabama eagle was bred to a grand daughter of smokin joe. out of that cross came red eagle telsa.telsas grand dad on the bottom side was out of gr nt harris' andy who was out of finley river rock and a female out of gr nt ganns finisher.telsas great grand mother on the bottom side was out of world ch rock river banjo. telsa was bred to sackett jr. out of that litter came red eagle mack.mack is 11 yrs old and still producing pups. i own him and he is being bred to some tough females. ganns finisher was raised a mile from where i live by riley feltman.riley owned lenawee queen, named for lenawee county.this line bred finley river old blood is still here and kicking.i just had a litter in july out of a world ch gr nt rock river gap female and mack. i am breeding mack free to get more pups on the ground while i still can.mack has as much or more of the old finley river blood as any dog still producing pups thanks to the line breeding of gary hern and lisa hunzinker. mack and his pups show all of mears finley river dans traits, right down to the red strip of hair down the middle of their backs that most all heavy finley river bred dogs have. i have hunted and bred finley river dogs for 36 yrs and i still am..........TC 517 605 9090, i'm breeding mack to a double sackett jr gyp this sat oct 25th.
