Been keeping Mann tuned up the past couple weeks. Him and I needed some alone time anyway. Ole` Ditch Witch willbe ready to put back in the woods after the weekend. Dottie needs another week before she hits the woods with a male dog. Yeah they have been cussing me the nights I take Mann. Makes you feel bad but that the is the deal with females as we all know.

Females should be fully out of heat this week, the boys and I took them last night for a couple drops. We treed twice in some real narly Mulberry viney stuff. I could not see well enough to have a real good look see. The second drop my oldest boy got into the itch weed pretty bad. He thought he was on fire for about 5 minutes!So needless to say I did not have the chance to shine the tree real well. Priceless!

Elmo keep me posted on Kane, I am curious to see what the vet has to say about his foot.

Elmo the family and I are on vacation this week. We are actually about 120 miles from our destination of Hunington beach, South Carolina. Taking the boys to the ocean for the week. We just left the great smoky mountains. Once we return next Monday it is all business for the hounds and I. Yes going to hit the local hunts and Mann and I will be headed to Clinton if nothing stands in our way. The hounds have looked good the past couple weeks. According to Mr. Brian Davis we should have some Mann and Dixie pups in a few days. Hoping to be able to pluck my next male out of this litter. Dixie is a very fine female.

Well back home after being on vacation for 10 glorious days! Lots of fun! I will say my father-in-law fed my hounds well while we were gone, they are fat! Took them out Tuesday night to run a little fat off them. Made two dumps, had a coon on the first dump and a hour cornfield race on the second. I hate catching hounds on track but after an hour in a marshy cornfield and 1:00am in the morning on a school night I thought it was time to go home Tuning these hounds up so we can look presentable going to the local hunts in the near future. I will say the weather has been wonderful here lately.
I hope Mr. Brian Davis doesnt mind me posting this: but his nice Dixie female had a litter of 6 on July 11th, all doing well . Brian and I both are hoping for great results out of this cross.

Darren if you would like, I have a few good pictures of Mann on my phone I could forward to you. As for litters on the ground we have a whopping two litters sir. The first litter is coming on two years of age and the few I have been able to keep track of are making solid coon hounds. The second litter just opened there eyes a few weeks back. But hey, with the blood running through him, he is bound to reproduce. If interested in me sending over pictures let me know. Thanks for inquiring.

Elmo I did not make it over to Sweet Springs, my boys and I made a road trip to Clark, Mo to pick up some lumber at the Amish lumber yard and headed into Columbia for a few items. We did run into Mr. Baker at Tombstones Catfish tackle store. He was gearing up for the big tournament Saturday. Now I am hitting the timber all this week, going to try and break a little rust off Mann and try our luck down at Clinton Saturday if all goes as planned.

I like the way these 2 pedigrees go together. Weve got a little bit of everything flowing through these pups veins. There just starting to venture out of the dog house and eat some solid food. Theres one that's colored like old Stormy in the litter and hes a bigger pup.

Ahh thanks for posting Brian, yes I am excited about the potential of this cross. We have mixed some good bluetick blood around in the pot for sure! I will touch base with you to see if the family and I can take an evening drive over to see the little tickers. I am looking forward to working with these pups in the months a head.
