I've been hunting Lil Ann (S7 x GrNtCh Party Girl) mostly by herself. She just turned 16 mos. old. Here is a pic from the last tree of the night, last night. She did have a coon:



Here are a couple videos from last night, on an earlier tree. The first one is when I was first walking in to her tree and the 2nd one is after I got to the tree (and got the lense cover fully open, lol). She had a coon.

Notice there is no shock collar on her. The only junk she has messed with is the one possum she treed a couple weeks ago. She goes hunting fair for her age, strikes quick, has a nice, mostly bawl track mouth, and can work and move a bad track. She has a nice locate and you heard her tree in the videos.

She hasn't been hunted much with another dog since she started treeing, but has split treed 4 times that I recall.

She's about 55-60 lb. dog, a little pointy nosed but not too hard on the eyes. No white anywhere and I don't know if she was born with dew claws or not but she doesn't have them now.

She's not for sale but I'm not saying she can't be bought by the right person that can do her justice and for a reasonable price.

John D, Lil Ann is starting to look in good shape,, she can use some regular hunting with tough company about 30 days, at the end of 30 days you will see the rare and scarce genetics you haven't seen yet.

Smokey 7 is still in Barbourville. Just bred a nice female, and tried another, but she was too late in her cycle. She'll be bred next time around.

Darrell Abrams will be breeding his nice Sowder bred female to Smokey 7 in a couple days.

Go Joe, a Smokey 7 pup owned by Joey Taylor, picked up a 2nd place win a couple weeks ago. He is from the GrNtCh Coon Cravin Sis litter.

James or Brock, I know that the question I have depends a lot on the female, but on average how much independence does the pups out of 7 seem to be having??? What kind of nose do they seem to have??? How much hunt?? I am looking around for a dog to breed my female to when she comes in that is close to Wv. Thanks for any info.

dsmay and Dorothy, I will try answering some of your questions,
If you need anymore information feel free to call, please.

Smokey 7 is a first or second strike dog when coon are moving decent, Barking only here and there, not wide open on track,, other times a second and third strike dog in poor tracking
but seems to easily in short order put a coon on the end of those tracks!
Smokey 7' strong point is getting first trees and or getting by him self regularly- wins more cast than he loses even with all the automatic strike dogs because they will make mistakes where 7 will shut them down on merely zero minus during most cast
(Intelligence).

His pups are still young and good reports are coming in as far as age and good quality handling/training ethics are being exercised.
Good Balance in tracking and tree, many say they are very smart/Intelligent pups, Loud mouths,
they that are started early on- start quick
and most pups will put it all together by a year old, if hunted.

Mike Tatum bred his female, NtCh Auburn Hills Black Dymon, to S7 yesterday. Mike lives 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach, SC. I've gotten several calls from people down that way interested in S7 pups. Here they are!

Thanks to Mike, Charles Pullen, and Brett Gillum, for helping us get all this worked out on short notice. Hopefully she has a big, healthy, litter!
