Bout time to start them pups you two have how are they doing?? If you get a chance I would love to see a pic of them a mate to them will flat tree his butt off on a cat what are they now bout 6 mon? Not trying to be negative on the young dog but if it's been farm raised and dosen't have much hunt I doubt it will change..Might make a good pleasure dog though..

Sounds like she needs to get her butt in gear!!! It's weird you can have alitter of pups and in my experince they will prolly be no two alike some say they can get there's all to be balance and all that crap but I've never had that kinda luck..I would say your prolly doing the right thing by waiting on her if there minds not right they wont learn crap and if you try and force it on them most of the time it does more harm then good if it's there it will come out if not maybe she will get a dirt blanket to?? And we will send you another to try!!

Oh hell rory I don't expect that that's just the chance you take when it comes to a pup it would be nice if they all turn out would be alot less headaches I'm not counting her out yet tho I think she just needs to mature alittle she is a fire ball that's for sure the few tracks she did run when she was popping them rabbits bout 3 months ago she would burn them so I think she has it in her just needs to put 2 and 2 together if she doesn't make it I would sure be interested in anther one tho I'm not giving up on j lee i sure do like how she looks and her temperament i think if she does get it in gear she will be a fast one

ill get some put up ill try and take some pics tonight she is a goodlooking little thing. took that male pup out last night there was a hard frost and he opened and burned a track around 400 yards and then gave up i have kicked him on deer and he doent want anything to do with it he seems to be doing this alot and i cant figure it out its like he looses it or gives up unless chris old dog is with him im stumped he will even come back where the track is the coldest and re run it you would think if he can start it he would be able to finish it when he warms it up unless i dont know something anybody else knows i have heard rumors that a hot track is harder to run but i cant see that being true but im not a pro lol. he wasnt worked with as a pup at all until i got him he has been out around 15 times total after he looses the track he comes back and whines around im going to turn a couple hot ones loose to him without him seeing them of course and if he still looses or gives up i think i might give up on him to. Let me know if have any ideas or if im doing anything wrong here ill try about anything he is a goodlooking dog and a hell of a tree dog but treeing dont mean anything if he cant finish a track i have tried all i know to do im willing to give a dog a fair shake and i know he is a pup but you can only waste so much time and dog food thanks rory

sounds like to me this pup has good intrest just hasnt had the fair chance yet. hard to make a coondog in fifteen hunts. the most important tool in training any young dog is patience. i believe by what i am reading here this pup will come to the front. just give him time. best of luck to ya.

I like to hunt my young dogs alone too. But i do that when they are ready. I dont think yours is to that point yet. It wont hurt to hunt it with older dog every night until he gets more experience under him. When he splits treed with meat start hunting the hair off him alone. He will be a bit slow to go out alone for awhile but i think he will catch on and be a different dog. I think i would give him this season at least. I am fairly confident you will be glad you did.
