We treed one last weekend, but I didn't get any pics. I sent the wife to the tree, while I rounded up the couple dogs that went another direction. I've been using Blizzard to start tracks the last few weeks, and she has done very well. She's is rigging off the truck well, and has done some good cold trailing. But the thing I like most is she lines a track out quickly, and has the ability to run out front.

Our pups from Terry Goforth arrived yesterday. After a three day ride out west they were as bold and rambunctious as you could hope for. We are very happy with their looks and actions, and look forward to getting them under some lion and bear trees. It will be interesting for us to see how they are similar to our other dogs, and what ways they are different. They have some of the same breeding through the old Terry dog, which they are doubled up on, and some stuff we haven't tried before. They are full brother and sister to Terry's Little T dog. So far they are awfully nice pups, and act quite a bit like what we are used to.

I haven't heard of anything very close to us. The ones on the news are in the south part of the state. It's been a pretty dry summer so we could be getting some anytime. I'm down in the valley so not much danger here. They won't hardly let them do any logging on the forest service land anymore. A fire here and there at least makes some good habitat for the deer, elk, and moose in a few years.
