Chris,
You hunting any, or still working long hours?
Lowell,
The hours at work are back to normal. That has allowed me to hunt more. I was able to hunt 3 nights during this last week and will be hunting tonight some, I hope. Last week I went and tried out a female out of Rebel. I liked what I saw and bought her. It was a 460 mile round trip to try her out. I then loaded her up the next morning and met my friend Mike in Kentucky were he took her on down to Alabama. So, I traveled 230 mile hunt for a couple hours, loaded up and travel back 230 miles, slept for 3 hours then travel 170 miles to meet Mike and 170 miles back home. I was worn out. She's now treeing coon in Alabama. Plans are to breed her to Harpeth River Blue Jack in the future. That female has a big nice mouth.
Hope all is well with you and your family. I have been hunting my young dog Bash which is out of Penny and Jack, he has been coming along well. He appears to be gifted with a strong winding ability. It's my opinion that he got most of that from his moma's side. You got a top female in Penny. She is a top hound and has produced some fine pups. There are a 3 down in Alabama out of Penny and Jack that are making the kind of hounds that will never be for sale.
Below is some pics from hunting this week, just so you know I'm not pulling your leg about getting out and hunting
9-19-12, Hunted with John Bishop and Sonic, I hunted Zeus. We made a couple trees that night and had a good corn field race. John's Sonic dog did an excellent job. Sonic and Zeus treed picture below.

9-20-12, Hunted Bash by himself made several drops that night. A couple drops could have been better and a couple drops were excellent. I treed 2 single coon, a possum, a tree I couldn't shine because it was behind a house, a tree that was broke off into another tree. (thought I seen the coon, but couldn't find it again), and a drop with no bark, caught him as he come to the road. Bash got treed on his first pine tree this night, after a long hard race that took him over 800 yds deep treed with the meat. The other coon was treed in a 8 to 10 inch Hackberry tree with the coon sitting 15 feet up, Bash just fell treed on that coon.

BASH TREED WITH THE MEAT ON A TALL PINE(PIC BELOW)
