My sister had a good beagle that she called Herbie and the name just seemed to fit this blue female. Beleive me, I did think of you when I named her. You had commented at the Spring Hunt you liked the looks of her. I would not have named her this if she was black red and white.

Herbie took another track from my GRNT the other night and treed first. I think it's time to start hunting her by herself. She is kinda independant so I need to keep her in the mix so she doesnt totally isolate herself. She is quick to put a tree on it and she's been accurate. She could use some solo work on old tracks, but she's young and got the nose

I am planning on going to the Spring Hunt.

Give me a call sometime, it's always good to chat.

Hans

she sounds like she has a lot of potentiial. And the kind that I would like.

Cami info and pedigree.

Cami was bred by Wilbern Uchtman and ended up at the home of Wes Walls as a young dog. Wes thought I should have this female with the males that I had here and we worked out a deal. From the first night I hunted her I was in love with her disposition, looks and hunting ability. I bred her to Logan and she had only a couple of pups and none lived. I worked out a deal with Jeff Magie down in Arkansas and he hunted her down there for the winter after that. She was shown at the BBOA hunt in Illinois and won the Champions Class on Saturday. She has three wins to Grand Show but I have not had her in many shows for the last couple of years (It is just not that important to me). I should probably put her in and finish her out. I did not hunt her that weekend as we had downpours of rain and I did not want anything to happen to her. She has been in two RQE's and tied a Grnite in one (lost the tie). In the one last year she hunted against a Nitech redbone and two GrNite Walkers. 1st drop she went left and struck and the two Walkers went right and struck she got in deep and treed and I treed her. She had the coon and was leading the cast. Turned her back into them she got in deeper behind them. When we finally heard her again she was treed in deep. The time was up and we went to her. She had another coon. Won that cast and was qualified to go down to Mineral Point. She won her cast on Friday. On Saturday she could not get under a coon so we did not advance. She does not walk on water and I am sure there are alot better dogs out there.
What she is though is a well balanced coon hound with a great disposition. I am glad to see that she is reproducing. Her last litter out of Logan she had 14 pups and raised 8. I hope to breed her ot Zeb if things work out.

thanks skeeterhawk

I have had Rambler since he was pup, he is a champion and has one win toward grand

he has been in two night hunts won first one with 800 cicle and no minus let a young man handle him it was his first time, just couldnt see a coon second one he was beat by a nice walker dog

he is tight on the ground unless it is a hot track and then he is like he is tied to it...nice locate and a ever breath tree dog...not real loud but you can hear him...easy keeper dont know he is on the place most days

I may try to hunt him some this spring in the hunts to at least nite champion him

David

Mine I call him ruebon. He has made several trees by himself and a good treedog with a good mouth. I think he will make a dandy.

Herbie

Those are some nice looking hounds! I saw that litter out of Jewel at the round up. I wish I would have brought one home, they were the most houndy ones there. The Hooch and Carol dogs out of Jewels litter (5 yrs. old) are only about 45 minutes from me. I have hunted with them several times and they are nice. I think the Carol female is for sale.........If I only didnt have 2X too many already.

Thanks, I like them. My maggie female had pups last night. Four males five females. They seem to be doing alright. If I have any left I'll probably bring them to the spring hunt.
