WINTER AND HUNTIN

STEVE,
THAT BOBTAIL BROUGHT $25.00. THEY CAUGHT HIM IN THE STANDIN CORN, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, THEY DIDN'T GET AHOLD OF HIM MUCH. I WADED IN AND AND STUCK THE RIFLE IN HIS EAR. THE OTHER COON IN THE PICTURE, SAME CORNFIELD AND CAUGHT HIM ON THE GROUND 20 MINUTES LATER. BOTH RACES ENDED 50 YARDS FROM THE TRUCK AND FIGURED I BETTER GET OUTA THERE AFTER ALL THE RUKUS. PLACE I WAS ON, THE LADIES HUSBAND HAD JUST PASSED AWAY A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND DIDN'T WANT HER GETTING SPOOKED. NOT MANY COON COME OUT IN THE CARCASS, I SKIN THEM WHERE THE HIT THE GROUND. JOE, HE WAS DEFINATLY LITE IN THE TOOTH DEPARTMENT. IT WAS A STRANGE KINDA NITE, FOG HANGIN AND QUIET. COON SEEMED TO WANT TO RUN AND NOT CLIMB. NO SNOW HERE AND IT IS 45 AND RAINING. EXTENDED FORCAST SAYS IT IS TO GET PRETTY COLD FOR A FEW DAYS, BUT NO MAJOR SNOW PREDICTED. WE GET A WINTER LIKE THIS NOW AND THEN.

JEREMY,
WILLIE LOOKS GREAT AND SOUNDS LIKE HE'S MAKIN A GOOD ONE. NITE HUNT READY BY SPRING? <v>

HIDE HUNTIN

IT HAS BEEN QUITE A HIDE SEASON HERE. THE WEATHER HAS BEEN HOLDING AND HAVE BEEN TREEIN A PILE OF COON.
SOLD ANOTHER 20 YESTERDAY AND AS EXPECTED WITH THE GOOD WEATHER, THE BOTTOM HAS DROPPED OUT ON THE MARKET. THE BUYER SAID IF I HAD MORE AT HOME IT WOULD BE WISE TO MEET HIM AT HIS NEXT STOP WITH THEM CAUSE THEY WERE GONNA GET WORSE IN PRICE. I WILL HANG ON TO THE REST TILL THE SNOW FLIES, THAT MARKET WILL CHANGE THEN. TAKIN A COUPLE NITES OFF AND THEN BACK AT IT. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A HUNDRED BY CHRISTMAS. SITTIN ON 85 NOW, JUST ME AND 3 DOGS ALL BEIN HUNTED ALONE. <v>
P.S. BIGDOG, WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TAKIN ALL THE COON WE WANT AROUND HERE. IF WE DON'T, THATS WHEN OUR PROBLEM STARTS. OVER POPULATION IS THE COONS BIGGEST TROUBLE IN THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY.

ANYBODY THAT HAS TRIED TO REACH ME BY PHONE I'M SURE HASN'T HAD MUCH LUCK. MY "WATER PROOF UP TO 16 FT. DEEP PHONE" TOOK A LIL DIP IN A PUDDLE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND HAS PRETTY WELL SHUT IT DOWN. CAN TEXT ONCE IN AWHILE, WILL FORWARD WHOLE MESSAGES, BUT WHEN TYPING ONE, MAY JUST SEND WHEN IT WANTS OR JUST GOES BLANK.. CAN SEE WATER IN THE CLOCK PART ON THE FRONT SO WATERPROOF IT AIN'T. DUE FOR A NEW PHONE ON OUR CONTRACT IN 10 DAYS SO WILL WAIT TILL THEN TO GET ONE. <V>

CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK!

OPPY

GRIZZLY

TOOK A FEW PICS THE OTHER NIGHT. THOUGHT GRIZZLY'S TREE STYLE REMINDED ME OF OPPY. SOUNDS LIKE YOUR HAVING A GOOD KILL SEASON. I HOPE JETFUEL HAS CONTRIBUTED TO SOME OF THE 85. HOPEFULLY YOUR WEATHER HOLDS OUT FOR AWHILE YET. GONNA BE HEADED UP NORTH TO ANGOLA TO HUNT WITH MY UNCLE SOMETIME NEXT WEEK. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE ABOUT AS GOOD OF LUCK WITH CELL PHONES AS I DO. IF THEY ADVERTISE SOMETHING AS INDESTRUCTIBLE. I GUARANTEE I CAN PROVE THEM WRONG. LOL. TALK TO YOU SOON.

TREE STYLE

ALOT OF THEM OUT OF OPPY TREE LIKE THAT WITH SOME VARIATION. DONNIE, JET HAS TREED SOME MORE OF THESE IL.COONS. HE HAS HIS GOOD AND BAD NITES LIKE THE REST. THE EASY COONS ARE GONE AND IT HAS GOTTEN COLD AND BRIGHT OUT. BETWEEN THE DENS, HOLES, BRUSHPILES, ETC, STILL MANAGING TO GET A FEW ON THE OUTSIDE. THE WEATHER IS HOLDING AS FAR AS NO BIG SNOW YET AND IT WELL GET DARK AGAIN. MUZZLELOADER DEER SEASON THIS WEEKEND, BACK AT IT SUNDAY NITE. <v>

Oppy's grandkids can do it as well. Took Lexi and went for a hunt with her dad and her littermate sister last night. WE had a nice hunt Spit and Lexi split 250 yards apart both had the goods. Then we put the old man away and turned his two daughters together ran a nice track that ended on a den. We cut them again and got on one that they took over a half mile with goods above them when we got there.

OPPY

Hey Perrry, Darren Hollis here in Alabama. Gettting back to hunting after about 3yrs. out. Congratulations on your success with OPPY. He has sure thrown some nice hounds. I've started completely over with some young dogs. It sure is hard when you have had nice hounds and start again from scratch. My ole Dual Grand Southern Blue Moonshine hound about ruined me. The good ones sure are hard to replace. Are you still breeding any females to OPPY? I would sure like to have a female out of him in the future. Keep'em lookin up!!!

50 DEGREES AND RAININ

WE ARE HAVIN A SUPER MILD WINTER SO FAR. HUNTIN HAS BEEN THE BEST I'VE SEEN FOR AWHILE AS FAR AS CONDITIONS, DOG WORK AND NUMBER OF COONS HITTIN THE GROUND. GOT ME A GOOD CHEST COLD THAT IS SET IN AND HAVIN A HARD TIME KICKIN IT. DOC SAYS I SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE WEATHER A FEW NIGHTS OR MAY END UP WITH PNEUMONIA, SO RIGHT AFTER I WAS SOAKED TO THE BONE LAST NITE AND LOOKED AT 2 DENS AND SKINNED ONE COON, I TOOK HIS ADVICE AND HEADED TO THE HOUSE. WOOD HEAT NEVER FELT BETTER. SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE IS HAVIN A GOOD TIME WITH THEIR HOUNDS AND IS AS THANKFUL AS I AM FOR THIS GREAT WEATHER. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I'VE HEARD IS FROM THE OWNER OF THE SKI RESORT(CHESTNUT MT.). THEY ARE USUALLY UP AND RUNNING BY NOW. THE HILLS ARE BARE AND NO SNOW MAKIN IN SITE FOR AWHILE YET. DONNIE W., SOUNDS LIKE OLE GRIZZ IS GETTIN SOME COONS TREED AND LOOKS GOOD DOIN IT. HEATHER, THANKS FOR THE GOOD WORD AND HOPE ALL IS WELL OUT EAST. DONNIE E., LIL JOE SOUNDS LIKE HE IS GONNA BE A GOOD ONE. HIS DADDY(NTCH. OPPY'S RUSHCREEK SPIT) IS A GOOD HOUND, FAST ON THE GROUND AND WILL HAVE HIS COON WHEN HE TREES IF HE DOESN'T CATCH IT FIRST. TODD SAYS HE HAS BEEN CATCHIN SOME COONS PRETTY REGULAR BEFORE THEY CAN CLIMB. GOOD LUCK WITH LIL JOE, TEXT ME A PIC OR VIDEO AND I'LL PUT IT ON HERE. JAY C. YOU HAVE BEEN HAVIN ANOTHER GREAT FALL BY THE LOOKS OF ALL THE PHOTOS. DUCKS-DEER-PHEASANTS-COONS ARE ALL TAKIN A PRETTY GOOD BEATIN AT THE HANDS OF THE CHADWICK CLAN. BERT,
THOSE FEMALES OUTA SPIT AND SAGE ARE NICE AND MAKIN SOME REAL COONDOGS. GLAD TO HEAR TODD IS GETTIN TIME TO HUNT WITH HAVIN THE NEW BABY BOY. CONGRATULATONS TO THE ACKERMaN'S ON THE NEW ADDITION. DARREN,
GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE BACK TO HUNTIN, AND AM SURE IT IS HARD TO START COMPLETELY OVER LIKE THAT. WISHING YOU LUCK IN FINDING SOMETHING THAT YOU LIKE AND THAT MAKES YOU EXCITED FOR IT TO GET DARK. NOT SURE WHEN YET, BUT IN THE NEXT NOT 2 MANY YEARS WILL BE IN FLORIDA BETWEEN CROSS CITY AND LIVEOAK. OPPY IS STILL BREEDING FEMALES. GOT ONE BRED THE 5TH OF THIS MONTH 2 HIM. LOTS OF SPANKY UP CLOSE. HE HAS THROWN SOME GOOD ONES AND APPRECIATE THE KIND WORDS. <v>
