My pick

My pick for the most famous coon hound has got to be RIVER BEND FLAG. And this is comin from a black & tan & blue dog man. I saw back in the 80s so many hounds out of this fine hound that were flat coon dawgs. My part of the south was full of them. The best hound I ever followed was a grandson of ol flag.GRAND NITE CHAMPION RIVER BEND DEACON owned by Wayne & Jeff Poff of Floyd Va.

I knew Heat (Jiggs as he was called then) very well....his brother was the coondog in the litter not him. Saber was a far better coondog and reproducer.

since the post is about the most famous, not BEST, coondog ever....im gonna have to say its a toss up between Lipper and Nailer...since one of those prob as the most pups registered out of any dog in UKC history (regardless of breed or coonhound or lapdog)
