Duece

Aubrey, Just a little more on Duece. Hes been at 2 bear trees. Checked his mouth after the second and he had hair in his mouth. So hes telling me hell grab one. Been working on rigging and is doing ok better each time.Mind you these are bears im seeing the turning around going back a couple miles and waiting a half hour,then going back to where bear was. So far hes telling me they crossed. So happy so far. We are leaving sept 26 to go to Tennesse bear hunting this will give me a chance to hunt him with some good dogs. Just so everyone knows i have no coon here got Duece to run bears with and hes a litter mate to Red Fever 2 Worlds Double Dip. So far he shows the desire and no fear of a bear. We will see if the future is good. Bit so far hes doing what is wanted.

Thanks for the updates, pics, and videos of Tater, Scott. He's looking/sounding great!

Scott, Steve, and Mike, that IS Good News from Maine! It sounds like the girls did awesome for their first time out. Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks, and get to hunt with the girls!

Terry, Thanks for the update on Deuce! That's pretty cool that he's grabbing ahold of them bears! Have fun in Tennessee bear hunting, and keep us posted!

A quick update of this past weekend:

There was an American Redbone Sectional in Fall Creek, WI this past weekend.

PR Red Fever Midnight Rebel (a Rip X Maggie pup owned by Kenny Deal, WI) won class, breed, and BOS male in his first show - congrats Kenny and Reb!
WCH PR Red Fever Gangsters Pair A Dice won class, breed, and BOS female, and also Queen of Show
CH PR Top Notch Fancy Pants won Champion Redbone Female
CH GRWCH PR Red Fever Hot Iron Ox won Champion Male and King of Show

PR Crane's Otter Creek Scooby Doo (Clyde X Jane pup owned by Merle Crane) won line and tree in his heat in the water race

CH PR Two Worlds Big Bang won line and tree in his heat in the field trial
PR Red Fever Phantom By Moonlight won line in her heat and the semi-finals in the field trial

CH GRWCH PR Red Fever Hot Iron Ox won King of Hunt and High Soring Redbone with 450+, 350 circle, no minus

i should've gone to the Fall Creek show... i didnt cuz i was told u guys were gunna kick my butt!! lol, do u know where the water races are in WI? Fall Creek was the last one i know of.

Nope

He was King of Hunt and High Scoring Redbone, but he did not get a cast win. He was VERY close, but didn't quite get er. Ox got treed by himself the last drop with a few minutes left, and the other dogs left their track and came into him and got a piece of it, which put the one with more plus than Ox. Ox ended up with 450+, 350 cirlce, no minus.

My new hat.....

I just got my new hat yesterday. I like it!!! But I'm crazy like that. Some geek volunteered to wear it while a picture was taken.......

I also took Bruizer and Edge out last night. 2 drops, ran the 1st to a hole and came back after a bit, then treed a big ol sucker next to the river. Bruizer showed some improvement last night, startin to disappear for about 10-15 minutes at a time by himself. Like I said one other time, it's not so much important as to how they start, but how they finish....

COOL hat...

Love it... I can see Bob wearing it to Walmart and freaking out all the Yuppies! There WAS the day he took a BnT for a 'little walk" in the woods... that took him across our friends wetlands and all over the place in DEER SEASON... wearing a brown coat and his bunny fur hat! LOL... WHAT AN IDIOT! The hound got a smell and... we can't let them off leash here SO... he decided to let her follow it and forgot about season! This is the same hat one of the hawks swooped down at once! LOL...
That raccoon would be WAY cool though... Heck, I don't DO hats and I WOULD even put that on for a picture! LOL...

Any of you who do NOT live in MA... can probably wear FUR without fear of someone spitting on you, paint balling you etc... Our oldest son Richard was a Vegan for a bit and went to a very liberal private high school here in MA. We were surprised when he asked for a USED Rabbit hat for winter after trying Bobs... I was working with Bruizer earlier today on the bench. I had Emily take a photo since I try to take one at least once a month to see his growth and progression, I had him set up nice but let go of his tail just as Emily took the picture, so it's not perfect, but you get the idea.....

Terry, season starts here mid-october, usually somewhere around the 15th, give or take a few days. It always opens on a Saturday.

Jeff, a blue dog won final line and tree in the field trial.......remind me, though, what color was the dog that won at the Bluetick sectional the week before????? :P

Brandon, that is a nice hat.....I'll be interested to see it in person, it sounds pretty fancy for a coonskin cap! BTW, Bruizer is looking really nice!

Heather, we always enjoy your stories about MA, your family, and your dogs! Hopefully we will get to meet you someday, but until then, we will just keep getting to know each other on here!

..THANKS! Life in Taxachusetts.... It has been intersting for sure. I grew up in the strangest family too... Really conservative politically but artsy and liberal in others...talk about CONFUSED! My folks exposed all of us girls to LIFE all over and encouraged us to be outdoors... so as much as I was a city kid... I was much more Bumkin than city! I moved out here "to the country"LOL... so I could have my horse farm and teach riding... it's still "country" for a suburb of Boston BUT... barely... I pity the new neighbors who hear the rooster, the hens, the donkey or mule down the road, ducks and COONHOUNDS.... We have a development on it's way behind us... and I know someone will hate the noises... only the roosters are at risk to be evicted...(and they are old and dying off anyway)... the coonhounds live in most of the time so...no trouble there... but I hate city people who move to "country" then want to change it...SIGH....
You're not at risk for me babbling too much less yet...LOL! As long as I can see, type and think I'll be posting!
