Hey I talk with Joe today he said he might try to go to National Days he ask if I were going I told him I really dont know.

Not much fun to set & see everyone else leaving & U gota set & watch them go out having fun so I dont know if I'll go or not Im not going to AM. DAYS just not going to try the trip.

back-good old days

Yep times have changed (for the Worse) Tallequah, Okla. is about 2 hrs and 45 minutes North of me. It is in that area where the movie "Where the Red Fern Grows" was filmed. It is also the birth place of Wilson Rawls, the book's author. BEAUTIFUL country up there and it is very similar to our area. I do believe we have more timber, though. My hunting buddy has a good friend who owns a ranch not far from Tallequah and it is full of coon! One would be hard pressed to find country any prettier than Eastern Okla and Western Arkansas. Of course, being a blue blooded southern boy I feel the entire south is wonderful..

I have always heard it was BEAUTIFUL out there I lived in UT for sometime & it was BEAUITFUL there Im thinging OK would be something like UT.

Im getting rid of most my Hounds not able to hunt them the way they need to be Im going to try & get to about 3 dogs that will let me be able to take some trips having 13 Hounds here is tuff trying find someone to feed all them & NO MAN can hunt that many dogs by himself. GOOD DOG MEN ARE HARD TO FINE THEY MESS UP MORE THAN U CAN FIX !!!!!! so Im not sending them off to be tied on a chain like Ive seen it happen.

Mr Edgar Brown always talk how he like OK. I'll see how things next yr. & will try top come out that way,thanks for the invite !!!!!

The area where I live is timber country, ranch land, and Red River farmland. Green country is what us Okie's call eastern Oklahoma and it is that for a reason..Plenty of green grass and timber. My hunting buddy and I don't hunt like we used to either. We hunted 6 to 7 nights a week for many years and now we hunt one or two nights a week weather if the weather is good, LOL. Just got in from a real good hunt tonite. We treed den trees but Choy did real good and I was very happy with her. She fired into the darkness like a big dog, got struck, and treed with Doug's walker dog on a big den tree. Ditto on the next track. Lots of progress in a short time period. Works for me!!!

Hello, good to hear Choy is coming along nice her Mother is up to #3 Current Reproducers List it good to hear about her I would say she will make a Dandy if hunted which I know u will.

Not doing much hear I did go along on a hunt the other night with my young dog he treed 3 Coons the young man with me is going to put him in the hunts a little later on heres never been in a Nt. Hunt hes Family but he really like (AKA) CHROME.The one track was a real long track for here anymore he treed it in short order on the outside 1 Coon he layed it up, 1 on a Den Tree.He getting ready to get his rearend hunted off by this young man he knows what hes doing is the main thing he has hunted several dogs of mine in the past.

Not Bad For a young dog this time of yr.

ok bud

althought it will be sad to see lightnin go it will be nice to get sherman back!! knowing lightnin was goin home i spent some qaulity time with him friday night. i dropped him 3 times all ended with 2 eyes lookin down at me!! it was just me and the ol boy. the first 2 drops i got lucky and he struck and treed within 600 yrds while i was leavein the second tree my phone rang it was a friend he says who the heck was i hunting !! i said why were are you he answerd home. so i drove around and looked on my garmin it was 2.2 miles!! he was out and heard lightnin . this isnt flat were i live but it was a very calm night. the last drop he got in deep over a mile but it was nice cause when i drove around he was only 200yrds of the road. lightnin has come here and performed better than any outside dog ive seen yet. i never seen him do any stupid snit!! every time he was cut he iether treed or i caught him at the next road HE ABSOLUTLY HAS NO COME BACK IN HIM. he is LOUD and a HARD TREE DOG. what surprized me the most was he never bothered a porky and i was scared fri night cause they were every were. i never had him in tip top shape but i sure liked what i saw. he is the total package and he definatly produces like his self. if thats average i,ll take average allday long!! yah now what i mean . oh well. THANKS BECAUSE IT WAS TRULY AN HONOR TO HAVE HIM HERE LAST WINTER.

Todd, I just wish u could have hunted with him when he was in real shape ! THANKS for your comment on him he is (((NO LONGER @ STUD))) I or WE will be the only ones Breeding to him if we have something nice that might cross good on him.I have 2 Gips that I have told them I would Breed but after that I will be done Breeding him if I need a pup I'll raise us one.

U said it HE DOES REPRODUCE I've seen a bunch off his pups in the woods Ive got a bunch of other dog pixs of his offsprings knocking it to the top dont care if I post them or not myself it would be for the guys that own them.Thanks for hunting him SORRY the guy in Can. didnt get to breed to him she didnt come in before he came back home.

I've had several guys tell me he throwed better pups than himself & I would agree seen it first hand from them.

TO many STUIPED PEOPLE to deal with having a Stud Dog, BUT not everyone is this way THANK GOD call all HOURS of the night wanting me to help them with there dogs get it like I did HANDS ON TRAINING some have NO RESPECK for u or your family knowing your wife gets up early to go to work & my ol body needs more rest these days after all Ive went threw.

I have NEVER SEEN so many LIARS in any sport as I have seen in Coonhunting there again not everyone is this way but it floors me to SEE & HEAR all the B.C. & that GREEN EYED MONSTER COMES OUT EVEN TO THERE OWN FAMILY MEMBERS ! All PATHS & ROADS CROSS SO U MIGHT WANT TO WATCH WHO YOUR SPREADING LIES ABOUT.IF U HAVE A CROW TO PICK WITH ME OR JOSH BE A MAN I STILL LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE & SO DOES JOSH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE INVITE U !!!!!!!!!!! NUFF SAID ! THIS LIEING ABOUT US GETS BACK TO US THE SAME DAY U START THEM. WE HAVE FRIENDS ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY ! Ol Light'in has lost some weight which he need to thanks for hunting him he needed to get out its very hard to hunt him here becaause of all the roads.

He has hearing trouble when U call him to come in ! So a road done mean ANYTHING TO HIM CROSS IT BIG BOY !

Todd, I did miss the ol Boy not barking at feeding time

I think he was glad to be home again he has a pretty tight Bond with me, I'll tell U this much HE MUST HAVE LIKED U TO HUNT FOR U THE WAY HE DID !!!! ITS NOT EVERYONE HE WILL PERFORM FOR, ME HE ALLWAYS GIVES ME A 110% (((EVERYNIGHT))) AS WELL AS HIS OFFSPRINGS THEY TRY TO PLEASE U ALSO.

BELL JUST TURNED 6 MONTHS OLD SHE IS VERY TREE MINED WE HAVE BIG PLANS FOR HER DOWN THE ROAD SHE HAS A HUGH MOUTH NICE LOOKING AND FULL OF JUICE TO BOOT.

SHE WILL BE BRED TO A (((COONDOG))) SHE IS FROM A FAMILY OF COONDOGS ALONG FAMILY OF THEM THATS WHY SHE IS WHAT SHE IS DOING NOW IT JUST COMES NATURAL FOR HER TO TREE.

Hows things in OK ? have u been hunting Choy any ? I had a chance to buy one of her Brothers a couple weeks ago but with the way my health is I just could'nt handle him.

If u get some pixs of her sure would like to see them I see her mother moved up to #3 Current now.

Just checking on u have'nt heard from u hope all is well with your Back or hope your getting better.

Choy (Jackpot Jackie's daughter)

been going a few times between the rains and storms. Not long hunts two or three turn outs and we've treed coon just about every time. Choy is a real good strike dog getting most of the first strikes on all the coon we've treed. She has located first on about half of them. She still needs work at the tree but she is getting better every turnout. One thing about her when I unsnap her she leaves at a dead run and she ain't afraid of the dark. The other night we cut her and two walker males loose at the same time and she peeled to the left and went by herself, struck and treed for about fifteen minutes by herself but left it before I could get to her...Lots of deep water here and travel is slow in the sloughs now. I can't remember to take my camera but as soon as this "old timers" disease kicks out I will take it and get some pictures. Need some of Doug's walker dog out of Black Jack Boone so I can let Robaert Williams see how he is doing. Nice young walker dog for sure.. and then there is Doug's redbone " Gunner" talk about a coon dog deluxe with a horn to blow, wow!!!!!!!!!

Thats what im talking about I love to see a young dog come on I have a hard time trying to hunt a older dog I lose interest in them but young ones that what Ive allways enjoyed trying to see what I can get out of them.

Its real windy here today it going to be cooler this week here they have a freeze warning out for tom. night down to 33 tonight.

Ive have a appointment with the Back Doctor now after the test came back I go the 17th which is next week sure hope he can do something to ease the pain.

I have my cousin helping me hunt THE DUKE Dog hes 20 yrs. old only trouble is he wants to stay out like I did when I was well just wish I was young again I would keep his Dad out allnight I think hes wanting to get even with me for what I done to his Dad.O well its hard to find some young guy around here that likes to hunt anymore think I will take my pillow the next time.

sure wished I could find me a younger hunter to go get her when she trees, the big problem is getting me there as slow as I am and Doug is slower than me...LOL...took us two hours to get to his four year old walker the other night, although we did go to his young walker dog and Choy first. we had to stop and rest two or three times on the way back to the truck..about one half of a mile total. some of these McCurtain Col thickets can be a challenge to get through or around, not counting the sloughs that are full of water now. We have had over twenty inches of rain in the last two months. just a tad damp here. Glad to hear your treeing a bunch and you can keep the cold weather middle to upper 50's at night and upper 70's and 80's in the daytime here...near bout perfect coon hunting weather.

This is what Im putting all my time into at this point.Hes been looking real good for these Ol Sow being bred he treed a Coon on the outside every drop lastnight cannot beat that for this time of yr. I dont care who owns them its a different story treeing Coons rite now.

((AKA))=CHROME will be (3) on (9-11-12) he has his 1st Place win on him if nothing happen he will make a Dual Grand he has a ton of Brains & has a real mouth & hes a TREEDOG very balanced young Hound im pretty proud of him no big hurry to put him in the Nt. Hunts due to his age.

It got down to 32 lastnight here & its going down to 27 tonight we have a freeze warning out tonight my kind of temp. for hunting sure hate to see them 80s at night coming up here later on you just about need to hunt on the creeks to keep a dog from getting hot,just hope my cousin stay with me & keeps hunting this dog.

They have me a appointment a week from today with the Back Doctor sure hope for some help Ive sleep in a Chair for 4 yrs. now some nights a Air Mat. theres got to be someone who can help me out there.

I get back on my feet load Choy up & come for a hunt if you need a copy of her Moms papers if you are wanting to Reg. her later on let me know I sent another guy a copy here several days ago Ive not heard from him he must have gotten them dont weary about a place to stay we have a Cabin you can stay in wont cost u anything but your gas to get here I would like to go hunting with her.Your welcome anytime.

COME TAKE A HUNT WITH (CHROME) SEE FOR YOURSELF.

Glad I can CALL YOU MY FRIEND seems like folks dont have much time for anyone unless there trying to get something from them not the way I was raised.Theres still some good folks but there getting harder to fine these days.
