Hi Y'all!
I"m back on... took a day off after the weekend work and now I'm back after a BIGLONG NAP! lol... Was thinking of you all and PRAYERS TO ALL!
SHannon, sorry bout the family stuff... it can be rough. All you can do is your best to handle the situation and pray for all involved, even the "badguys".... What a kind group around your grandmother....
Good descriptions of the RHod. Ridgebacks! I had friends who had them imported from africa yrs ago...amazingly good lines there. Great dogs. Proned to issues because of the ridge. I'm not sure I've told you all but Webster had the ridge. His whole family has at least some of it somewhere. It is an OLD throw back in the black and tan coonhound and the AKC show dog people have bred the ridge out as much as possible. If you see a BnT with one somewhere or a big swirl on the chest etc... it would probably go back to the old lines of Websters. The hole on his nose, between the nostrils is a related issue. In his case his REAL tight linebreeding brought it out a bit BIGGER than some.... It seems that somewhere WAY back when... someone added some ridge back into the coonhounds..... like the other odd things we see in all the varieties... it is interseting to see the throwbacks.
All well here. Busy weekend at mums but not a hard one physically. I think I cut over a hundred daylilies and vased them up though...lol... Paperwork was our big project and we actually got some done. Mum is having a procedure on her right eye, I think tomorrow... so we had to add in new drops and I had to make up charts for her etc... It's not a "big deal" procedure... I think they are scraping out calcifications...maybe with laser? Not sure...
She had missed me TONS with the weekend I took off and was so sweet when I was leaving... I hated to go!
Bob and I plan to start moving the first non ground cover plants to the front gardens tonight! The planning kills my brain and makes me sleepy. Forgot how it did that but this morning I wandered about planning and marking trees to save, came in and ate breakfast/lunch and lay down...and suddenly it was 2 hrs later! lol.... OH... and I found even MORE SLIDES at Mums I have to go thru for the man blogging about our old land! I told him it would take longer this time.... Oh My!
well, I wanna see wassup in coonhound land and then get ready to plant... Oh Yay... OH, we ate our first big tomato last night on burgers! YUM! We were so full we didn't eat the grilled zuccs and summer squash yet... lol...
Later Gators, HappyHunting! Heather
PS Randy, sorry but the move but 5 hr s is... not too bad. Wish I could get a nice dutch shep. police dawg... Good watch dog!!
