HappyFriday!

Hi everyone! Prayers to all!

Nice day here, got more plants in the ground and I must have done something else...but I forget...lol... I'm tired....
THanks on the kind words about my dryer repair work! LOL! Bob was also VERY glad I did not get shocked...and very glad the dryer worked and is STILL working! He couldn't believe how much lint I got out of the machines guts... he WILL take it apart from the rear next time(unplugged lol) and clean it out more often...OOPS!
Well... it's friday so my "workweek" is tomorrow... all I have to say is...if my Mum wants to PLANT things I'll faint! I DO hope we get out to the yard though? We'll see. I Think good weather at least Sat.....
OH... I'm not sure what my neighbor across the St has now for dawgs...he Has had a couple rhodesian ridgebacks... but a few times now I have been delighted by HOWLING and I swear there is a coonhound there... OR.. One of my late dawgs is singing in my mind...along with the neighbors dawgs... Bob got to hear them this eve as we were planting out front... We smiled at each other and missed our dawgs... Someday when the timing is right we'll have our own again.......
have a GREAT weekend, happyhunting ETC and lots of pix!
Heather

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE.
VACATION IS GREAT.
SITTING OUTSIDE TRAILOR LOOKING AT LAKE HAVING COFFEE.
FRIEND OF OURS BROUGH HIS LAP TOP SO I ASKED IF I COULD DROP A LINE TO THE GANG.

OUR CAMPSITE IS ABOUT 30' FROM THE LAKE, REALLY PEACEFULL TO SIT AND LOOK AT. ALREADY HAD A GUY THAT WORKS HERE OFFER TO TAKE ME HUNTING. HE HAS BLACK N TANS, FROM THE WAGONER LINE. HE DOSE NOT COMP HUNT. SAW TWO TRUCKS WITH STICKERS ABOUT RIGGING BEAR DOGS. HAVE NOT STOPPED TO TALK TO THEM YET. GOOD LOOKING AREA TO HUNT. LOOKS LIKE IT COULD GET STEEP AT TIMES. NEXT TIME I COME HERE I WILL BRING A DOG. LOOKS LIKE A PLACE TO COME IN THE FALL AND CAMP AND HUNT A FEW YOUNG DOGS.

WELL YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR SAT.

PRAYERS SENT.

Good afternoon. Sunny and 75 today. Supposed to get hot the next couple days.

Heather - I never heard of a Rhodesian Ridgeback. What are they used for?

Rob - sounds like you guys are having fun. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Are you doing any fishing?

Have a great Sunday everyone.

good evening every one !! Sorry I haven't been on in a while ! I never knew how terrible things can become when you have one bad egg in the family !! I'm amazed at how much my mother , me and her other 2 brothers have gone through since my sweet grand mother died 3 weeks ago .. My other uncle has changed the locks on her doors of the house and says he's selling her things for money .. these "things" are valuable to us not the money ! My heart is broken and I'm physically and mentally exsulted !
On another note baseball is over and Christians team finished 3rd in the state of GA !!! I loved every min of every game ! It's amazing how this little kid can compete with kids older than him and much bigger .. I'm very proud of my Christian ! He played some great games !!!
I hope every one is doing well ! I surely miss you all !!

Thanks corky for checking on me ! It always means so much !!

Thank you very much !! It's been a hurtful year for me as loosing 2 grand mothers in 4 months time . Now I have no grand parents left .. But God has blessed me with wonderful memories !! The day after we buried my dads mom in feb , my aunt (her daughter ) passes away .. It's all so very sad ! But my children have given me such love and compassion thru it all !!

I do want to share a very heart felt memory .. The night my moms , mom was in icu I was on the night shift .. I spoke with her and sat with her until 2:45 that sat. Morning .. She thanked me for coming and told me she loved me very much . The nurse told me she needed some rest and I went to the waiting room ... At 5:45 the nurse asked me if I wanted to ventilate my grand mother .. She was not doing well ... I said yes and called my mother and her brothers to come quickly .. After the shock (bc she was suppose to be moved out to a floor at 11 that afternoon) of my mother crying uncontrollably we walked in .. My sweet mother at her head side .. The rest of us lined up on both sides ... My mother begin to talk with her and telling her what a great mother she was .. And how blessed my mother was to have her ... Every one spoke a few words and the room was quite ... My mother .. The angel that she is .... Begin to sing the favorite Christian song she sang as she watch her father pass away... 2 years ago ... The room was quite as tears flowed down my face listening to my mother voice singing in her mothers ear ... She sang until all of a sudden my grand mother opened her eyes to the ceiling with a little bit of a smile and moved her eyes to my mothers and stared at her as my mother kept singing .. In her singing voice .. She said she loved her and my grand mother closed her eyes and took her last breath .. It was peaceful , my mother was beautiful ... It is a moment I'll never forget .. The hardest thing I've ever had to do is watch and feel my mothers hurt and not be able to stop it .....

Hi Y'all!

I"m back on... took a day off after the weekend work and now I'm back after a BIGLONG NAP! lol... Was thinking of you all and PRAYERS TO ALL!
SHannon, sorry bout the family stuff... it can be rough. All you can do is your best to handle the situation and pray for all involved, even the "badguys".... What a kind group around your grandmother....
Good descriptions of the RHod. Ridgebacks! I had friends who had them imported from africa yrs ago...amazingly good lines there. Great dogs. Proned to issues because of the ridge. I'm not sure I've told you all but Webster had the ridge. His whole family has at least some of it somewhere. It is an OLD throw back in the black and tan coonhound and the AKC show dog people have bred the ridge out as much as possible. If you see a BnT with one somewhere or a big swirl on the chest etc... it would probably go back to the old lines of Websters. The hole on his nose, between the nostrils is a related issue. In his case his REAL tight linebreeding brought it out a bit BIGGER than some.... It seems that somewhere WAY back when... someone added some ridge back into the coonhounds..... like the other odd things we see in all the varieties... it is interseting to see the throwbacks.
All well here. Busy weekend at mums but not a hard one physically. I think I cut over a hundred daylilies and vased them up though...lol... Paperwork was our big project and we actually got some done. Mum is having a procedure on her right eye, I think tomorrow... so we had to add in new drops and I had to make up charts for her etc... It's not a "big deal" procedure... I think they are scraping out calcifications...maybe with laser? Not sure...
She had missed me TONS with the weekend I took off and was so sweet when I was leaving... I hated to go!
Bob and I plan to start moving the first non ground cover plants to the front gardens tonight! The planning kills my brain and makes me sleepy. Forgot how it did that but this morning I wandered about planning and marking trees to save, came in and ate breakfast/lunch and lay down...and suddenly it was 2 hrs later! lol.... OH... and I found even MORE SLIDES at Mums I have to go thru for the man blogging about our old land! I told him it would take longer this time.... Oh My!
well, I wanna see wassup in coonhound land and then get ready to plant... Oh Yay... OH, we ate our first big tomato last night on burgers! YUM! We were so full we didn't eat the grilled zuccs and summer squash yet... lol...
Later Gators, HappyHunting! Heather

PS Randy, sorry but the move but 5 hr s is... not too bad. Wish I could get a nice dutch shep. police dawg... Good watch dog!!

A hot one here today. 87 and humid when I got off work.

Thanks for the info on the ridgebacks.

Shannon - nice pics. Congratulations on the successful baseball season. Sorry to hear about your uncle acting the way he is. That is a total shame.

Corky - the hand is getting better. Thanks for asking.

Heather - glad you got and enjoyed a big ole tomato.

Have a great evening everyone.

Howdy!

NO SPEEDO PIX PLEASE! lol...
Corky, After I posted earlier I kept thinking about the fact I forgot to answer your ? NO I"ve never had black rasp. shortcake but I KNOW it would be AWESOME!!! I also recall right now that I FORGOT to pick the berries right behind the house before I came in...Darn! THey were perfect...
I was a busy beaver and tired as can be now..but wide awake at same time. Too lazy to even take a shower after all the work! I RARELY skip that... tomorrow will do. I did all the planting after we got the five HUGE Jumbo hostas in SINCE... after Bob gat all of the plants out of the ground... digging up one last hosta...he let out a sort of a shreik and swore... He said he had caught his finger on a stalk on a hydrangea. He looked bad... which is rare...he said he must have a splinter. SO after he struggled with the wheelbaroow I asked if I should get all the plants in the ground and he said YES! I was SHOCKED! He NEVER lets me do that much so I knew it was bad. He soaked it and soaked it and lanced it and sat outside while I got MANY plants in the ground... and he was miserable. After we were done and he treid and tried I got my splinter tweezers(infamous around here) and went to work. The first piece I got out made me feel a bit faint(very rare for me)...But it was such an odd shape...thin and HUGE... a piece of BARK! Akkk... but there was more. It took a few hours with pain breaks and I got lil pieces but could see the one big piece in there. TOld Bob he may have to go to the emerg room...but I did get it exposed and then HE took an exacto blade and snagged it! WOOOooHoooo! Boy was that awful and bloody and shudder! He is up in bed now but I am WIRED....I don't like hurting anyone and it hurt...
SO... I will check out what's up on here, do my inhaler and eye drops and wash up a bit more without shower...and TRY to sleep...
Prayers to all and HappyHunting! Heather
