Just got off the phone with Bill Kaeneal, Wisc. and he told me that he won another 1st with Max. That is 3 1st places in a row. This was at a Walker sectional and he won High Scoring dog of hunt. Max is from Turk X Hillbilly Millie........Tim

Talked to Larry Carlin this morning, he was excited about his young male from Johnh II and his GR NT CH Jill female. This was the pups 3rd nt in the woods (he ran and treed on the other two nights) he struck first and picked the tree (had a litter) on all the other dogs and is an impressive treedog. Larry really likes him............Tim

Paul and I had a good hunt last night. Paul had Astro & a pup, I had Froggie. When we turned loose I gave Astro a head start before I turned Froggie loose. They struck quick and after a short race they treed. They all looked good and had the meat.That is the shortest race I have had all summer expecially with Astro and Froggie....Doug

Just got off the phone with Dale Imhof (Mich.) he called to give me an update on his male, Cowboy (John II X Lucy). He hunted him in a hunt where he scored 850+, o- and tied for 1st, lost tie breaker on strike points and ended up in 2nd place. He said that he hunted him in another hunt and got scratched for treeing 4 lay-ups behind the other dogs, they said he was silent mouth. I guess that is one way to eliminate the comp. By the way they didn't see another coon after he left. He sure sounds like my kind of dog. Dale ordered another pup.........Tim

Just got off the phone with Ron Parker (Ks), he has a John II x Crystal male that he says he really likes. Ron says that on a good tree he is a machine gun chop mouth treedog, he has a good mouth on track with an outstanding locate. Ron says that on some tracks he is a little tight mouth but still opens just right on a good track. This young dog is bred close to the same as Dual Grand Mad Dog MO Smoke owned by Roy and Timmy Clifton. Smokes mother was a litermate to Crystal. Good luck with him Ron and keep me posted.............Tim
