Eddie Green and I took a little hunt Monday night. We made a couple den trees and one with a coon. I treed a couple trees with coon on the way home. Tim Stone was up for a hunt tonight. It was around 9 when we turnt loose on the first drop. We made a den tree & 4 trees with coon by 11:15. Tim's gyps are nice and getting better.

Pups have lots of color, still have 8. 5 F 3 M. I'm not a very good nurse. I turn pup care over to the mother. A cur dog can have pups in a blizzard under an old junk car and raise a nice litter.

Elmo I hate to report that Irene died when the pups were 4 days old. Guess she had a pup left inside her. Deb & I, mainly Deb has been raising the 4 pups we've been able to safe. The pups are 18 days old.

Hey I am Sorry to hear about Irene passing, I have read thu your forum, she sounds like she was an outstanding coondog. Also I was sorry to hear you lost most of the puppies. I don’t want to be insensitive but if you decide to sell any of the pups, please keep me in mind, I would very much like to have a pup from Rebel. Irene sounded like my kind of coondog, from your writing. Please keep writing I have enjoyed your forum.

I do appreciate the kind thoughts. The Daisy x Rebel cross is proving to be a good cross. I purchased a female from the cross with the name of Bonnie. Bonnie has been hunted less than 20 times. She has looks & mouth that I prefer. She is a treedog. Guess we'll wait and see if she's a replacement for aunt Irene. At this point my wife says were keeping the pups.

Phil Vogel should have some pups from Bella in a few days. Bella is bred similar to Irene and a super nice hound. She was bred to Rebel semen. I judged her one night when she had a 1000+ give or take, can't remember the exact score.
