No dout Tom. I'd say it was 1986 or 87. Do you remember GRNTCH Houses Jay? I hunted him a while when Harold Chubb was kenneling him for Joe.

Yes Jason, I finished Jay to Gr Nt Ch for Joe house in 1984. I bought him from Joe a year later and kept him for a couple years. He was a good one. sold him to my brother when he got old to train pups with. Jay placed 6 th in the ukc world hunt in 1983.

House Blood

House's Billy and House's Heidi,What a bunch of lookers. They don't get any better looking. What a great article Jeff and Nathan, very well written. It's good to here about Joe's hounds of the past.Who hunted them and how it all started, for different ones.

There are out of Hunter and a daughter of Mack's Screamin Lawyer which is out of Mack's Little Joe. Merchant's Tree Blaster female on the bottom.

Mack's Screamin Lawyer's dam was Dohoney's Queen which I think was out of House's Lawyer.

thanks JD for talkin up Jman and Allie for us they are really a great pair of dogs. You are lucky to have one dog like that to come along once in a lifetime but we really lucked out with two. Thanks again Doug for sellin me Allie. She suits me just about to a tee big bawl mouth smarts looks and personality to spare. I really think that the house blood is turning out some fantastic dogs. Lavell those are some dang fine looking dogs. Lil bit is comin on fairly quick even if she aint house blood. I dont know about the rest of you fellas but im quite happy with my dogs House bred and other. If you got a dog that hunts in the way that you want em to man there aint anything better.

I just read the article in American Cooner about Jeff Duval and friends. In the article Jeff stated that there was something that he saw in the House bred hounds that he had not seen in others and that he had to have some. House hounds appear to be decendants from Johnson Banjo which we all knew put the tree in the track dogs. Banjo dogs werent exactly know for their noses but in their dominate tree dog traits. However today's House dog fans say that House bred hounds are known to be track dogs and are even used a lot out west by Big game hunters. When I think of dogs out of Houses Lipper I think of big "tug boat" sounding mouths that have colder noses and if you get one that is a good tree dog you have yourself a nice dog. A lot of the "House" breeders of today are not using a lot of the Lipper blood but more of the Cruz and Clint blood and yes I know Lipper was out of Clint. So my question to the Die Hard Joe House dog fans is what is it that Jeff Duval seen in these hounds? What are the traits that you are going to see in 9 out of 10 of the Joe House decendants? and is there a noticable difference in dogs that are close up Lipper to the other Joe House hounds? Thanks

like mike said,,

if you look at the way my house bred dogs are bred,i started out useing the house cheif /johnson's banjo dogs and had to go to the house clint/house tomtom linebred dogs and then the linebred clint dogs as people started outcrossing them on everything they could sell a pup from..

i breed for coondogs that have:

ability

brains

consistance

domanation of natural coon treeing traits

effertless training=just show them what you want them to hunt

fun to hunt=once you start them on what you want them to hunt,it's less work and more fun.

garbage free =unless you have some of the weekend wonder stuff crossed in,then you just as well start over ...

huntability=can adapt to different types of lanscapes more quickly

what more can be said,

Okie... Lucille is treeing coons in style.. At 7 mos. old she is split treeing and treeing with other dogs and is very accurate. She has a big Lipper mouth., opens good on the track and as you can see she has his looks too. Paul and I are really proud of her.
