Tim, I am so excited to see the amount of mad dog pups that are being born. I think it is wonderful to see such excellent crosses being made. When i get the next pup I will have two out of John II. Southern Glo is showing so much potential. It really is hard to come to a decision when they are all quality crosses. Lance

Tim, Do you know the details of Jude's litter. I am curious as to how many male and females there are. I talked to Brian and told him I wanted a pup from this cross. I think this will be an excellent cross for me. Lance

Check the thread "HEY TIM" on here by Bluetickman 4 he is the man that owns Jude. I also believe that this should be a good cross, Jude is all coon dog that can take a bad track move it and come up with the coon. She has the mouth , looks and brains......Tim

jude

has 4 males 3 females one week old today. Thanks for letting me know about Lance's interest. Went out for a short easy hunt w/ Rowdy and Ranger last night, but the dogs thought I needed to lose weight. treed 2 singles the last one was way to deep in these hills. rowdy seems to be doing pretty good.

Those pups out of Jude and John II should make some dandies, I am looking forward to seeing them in the woods next spring.

Rowdy and Ranger are 1/2 brothers sired by John II, ones mother is Uchtman bred and the other is mainly Smokey River bred, both are nice young hounds........Tim

Hunt

Just got in from a hunt with Johnny Yoder, we took his Kit female, Cleo and Ruby. We looked up several trees and seen coon. Most of the coon were just fall treed no tracks. The coon were in the big oaks in the bottoms. Those females can sure light up a tree, really sounds good....If you want a good bloodline you need to hunt your females........Tim

pups

Been in the timber almost every night with the pups, without the old dog it hasn't been as exciting but they are trying. Started a lot of tracks they can't finish but still put up a few coon. I'm really excited about my young pups (now 7mo. old) out of RoosterII and Mad Dog Two Gun Frankie, they are opening on track and are beginning to tree. I've got three males that are going to be awasome. Timmy got some pictures last couple of times out, will try and get them to you. Keep me updated on Ruby and her pups. The Zip female is really doing good, looking better every night.

Yeah, I have an all blue 7mo. old female also( Mad Dog Moonlight Gabbi) She will crank on a caged coon and a turn loose, just not showing a lot in the timber yet. The other dogs just flat out leave her by herself but she will try and go for a ways. Hunting the pups by them selves right now, and going through typical young pup stuff (running rabbits, learning possoms shock, although I don't think I'll have to worry about deer, they don't pay them any attention.) The last two nights we really didn't see a lot out of any of them but this is what starting pups is all about,( WOOD TIME.) One thing about them though is when they do start a track you better get your boots pulled up cause they are going to get gone in a hurry, they are not scarred of the dark. Every one of them has run with the old dog and you find them at the tree with him, they don't care where you are they are huntting something.

Coonhounds 102, Damon Ferrell own a litermate to the Crystal female that you were talking about. Damon calls his Ranger and he is a real nice hound. We bred a female to him a while back. Damon plans on putting him in the hunts next year.....Tim

Mike Hayworth came by Wed afternoon, we had a good long conversation. I have known Mike for a long time(enery since he was a young boy,he was never a little boy). We cussed and discussed dogs that we used to hunt(Bob, Mike and I). It seemed that all we could remember was the "GOOD" ones. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and looking forward to the next hunter that drops in.........Tim

Had a good conversation with Blue Style, he is trying to make arrangements to come up and hunt for a few days next week. The hunting should be good if the weather doesn't get to bad. When I was younger there was no such thing as to bad, now that I am older I find that there are some nights that I would rather stay in, it just made good sense. It makes no difference we will put the dogs in the woods and the rest will be up to them........Tim
