HOWDY!

Hi All! Prayers to all!

We had guests for a lil cookout last night, had a GREAT time! Friends who live down the road with horses dogs poultry and Harley in common with us. Nice long visit so I didn't get on here. With drop in guests this time of yr I find if I don't get on in daytime I'm way behind! lol... Bob had a bad back yesterday again.. couple days in a row, not common for him. Still sore today but some better??? Poor dude...he feels useless...
The gardens... his ugly gardens have magnificant weeds and some good stuff growing! The lettuce and spinach are awesome and none has made it INTO the house yet...lol. The 2 lil tomatoes are "early" something...forget the name. They came from a local farmstand near the center of "town" and the girl who runs it is just a kid and VERY successful! Old Wrentham family with a nice big farm house and some land they kept...the rest they developed...sadly... The quality of her stuff is good so they got into the garden and took off right away. Good new supplier for the tomato starts! YAY! and helping local farming which is VERY impt. to us!
HOT today but not what they expected. Which is good cause Bob didn't get the AC in the downstairs yet with his back... I have a fan and open windows and I'll live. The cat is HAPPY. SO glad Webster not living...cause he would have NEEDED the ac.... But that sounds awful cause I REALLY miss him!
Never see the deer here so can't tell if ours are late? Would love to be able to see the fawns born or even just after...or at all...LOL...
Will be back when I can be! Have a good day and HAPPYHUNTING! Heather

Good evening. Heavy rain last night and this morning. Upper 80's and humid most of the day. Raining like crazy now.

Dave & Wendell - nice pics. Thank goodness those cute little girls don't look like their grandpas.

Corky - good job on the maters.

Have a great evening everyone.

Dang Randy who lead you a stray?

While we are on the subject my Grandpa hunted red dogs my Dad started out with red than black and tan's than English and Blueticks of course they were all grade dogs he bought a registered walker back in 68 gave a 150 dollars for him as a started dog first night out he bayed a skunk under a rail fence Dad was so mad and the thrashing was on but I must say that was the last skunk he ever fooled with but Samantha goes back to him I hunted his off spring most of my like he was out of Finley River Chief and a Grandson of Stans Sailor Jr. Than dad bought a female out of Banjo II took a pup out that cross and Breed to Carolina Casey

Samantha's great great grandmother was Carolina Casey's triple granddaughter and **** she was a good one bred her to Lyndell KC dog who was either a grandson or a great grandson of Casey which was a good cross six or seven of them made night or grand nite my favorite was the one I kept Aurora alis the White Night and than next it would have been Candy belonged to Dale Breeding and than there brother Skipper who was Lyndell' s all 3 of these dogs are a grandparent to Samantha now is that line breed or inbred lol and than there was Sam

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.
66 DEGREES HERE AND CLOUDY.

BOND,
I LIKED THE HISTORY LESSON ON YOU WALKERS. I TO AM A THIRD GENERATION COONHUNTER. MY GRANDFATHER AND FATHER HUNTED BLUETICKS. GRANDFATHER ONLY HUNTED COON AND NO COMPETIOTN HUNTS. DAD HUNTED COON AND WAS IN AND OUT OF COMPETITION HUNTS. I COON HUNT, GET INTO HUNTS NOW AND AGAIN. I WISH THE BLOODLINE MY DAD AND GRANDDAD HAD WERE STILL HERE BUT WE LEFT THEM DWINDLE DOWN TO NOTHING. HAVE ALOT OF PICS OF DOGS.

HERE WHERE I LIVE, WHEN I WAS YOUNG THERE WERE ALOT OF BLUETICKS. MOST OF THEM WOULD BE BLUETICK ENGLISH TODAY. THEY HAD TAN HEADS AND LEGS WERE MOSTLY RED. ALOT OF THE OLD GUYS DID NOT LIKE THE BLACK HEADS ON BLUETICKS WHEN MY DAD BOUGHT SEVERAL FROM AWAY FROM HERE.

WELL ENOUGH ON HISTORY FOR NOW.

Morning all,
Went for a nice ride yesterday but I think my co pilot was a little worried of my driving.

Nice drop last night hit quick off feeder and then the next drop not so good. Getting to old for 4 hours of sleep. But did see some eye in the top of the tree so I guess I can manage.

Hope everyone has a great day. It is almost Friday.

Prayers to all in need.

That's right WB, my granddad was a fox hunter, I remember many stories when them fox hounds would tree and they would wait until day-light to see what they had treed. I,m the only hound hunter that was in my family, I must have got what the others were suppose to have because I have had it bad all my life and loved every minute of it. ----- see ya

BOND
I AGREE HAS TO BE BORN IN YOU. MY SON USED TO COON HUNT ALOT. HE HAS GIVEN IT UP. HOPE ONE DAY HE GETS IT BACK. I TOO LIKE LOOKING BACK AND RELIVING ALL THE OLD HUNTS. NEVER GOT TO HUNT WITH MY GRANDFATHER DUE TO HE QUIT HUNTING. HUNTED WITH DAD AND ALL HIS OLD BUDDIES. HUNTED WITH DADS UNCLE, NOW THOSE OLD TIMERS WERE A DIFFERENT BREED. MOST NEVER OWNED A PAPERED DOG.

DAN,
I KNOW OF A FEW OLDER FOX HUNTERS BUT MOST HAVE SLOWED DOWN OR ARE GONE. I TO AM THE ONLY HOUND HUNTER LEFT IN MY FAMILY. MY BROTHER AND TWO UNCLES GAVE IT UP.

I WISH WE ALL COULD GET TOGETHER WITH THESE OLD STORIES AND RIGHT A FEW BOOKS.

KIND OF COOL THAT THIS SUBJECT CAME UP. LAST SATURDAY AT MY HOME CLUB A HANDFULL OF US WERE SITTING AROUND TALKING ABOUT THE OLD GUYS FROM OUR AREA. MOST HAVE PASSED AWAY BUT THERE MEMORY AND STORIES OF HUNTS LIVE ON. IT DEFINETLY WAS A DIFFERENT BREED OF MAN.

MIKE,
GOOD LOOKING PUP. TRAIN HIM TO RIDE IN BACK IN BOX. HE RIDES UP FRONT AFTER HUNTING, I SURE HOPE HE NEVER GRABS A SKUNK.

Howdy Friends!

Hello to all and Prayers to All!

Nice day here. Warm but not too bad.... Did laundry, wandered outside, lay down to try to get a kink outta my back, felt better by the time Bob got home and we went out to water together. Plants doing well. Veggies doing well. Few more lil baby tomatoes starting!!! Hmm... funny NO lettuce or spinach.... The basil it coming in well.
Found out I MIGHT have to go to Mum's for Friday night this week.. mix up in the schedule..so you might not hear from me till Monday... We'll see........
History is AWESOME! WIsh we had some to share... I DID get to see a very nice picture on Bob's facebook of the man who introduced me to coonhounds in the 70s. Hub Kinnarney was a wonderful old man. I felt so honored to be allowed to care for his hounds!!! I also got to see some history in our horse life on FB which was cool! Speaking of "fox hunting" there were lots of nice horseback foxhunt pix... Couple horses I rode in the old days and Pandy the pony... who I gave to my son Richard as a second Birthday gift. Pandy is buried here... he was AWESOME. Bob hates him...lol...he had to ride him when he was a boy.... Ironic he ended up here, with My(OURs now) son! And Bob has to deal with his grave....lol...
It is Glorious here tonight. A beautiful breeze creeping in the window and the old kitty INSANE! Keeps going from window to window. I looked and don't see the coon...could be the kits are around at this point??? OR it could be the feral cat? who knows.... ? When Bob and I walked out back to water my roses and some wildflowers we saw the mulberries ripening. One tree/bush has tiny berries this yr. The one in the dog pen however has beauties as always.... we were so sad thinking Webster wasn't here to munch on them...and wait for the litter of kittens to Tree this yr.... We miss him TONS.... SIGH....
Have a great night all and if I dont get back till NW don't worry and have a GREAT weekend!
HappyHunting, Heather

Morning all,
Well went for a quick drop last night. Cut Buster then walked back to the truck to sit on the tailgate. Was very quiet when I heard rustling in the leaves beside truck. I got up walked around and there is ole stinky himself. Jumped in the truck and it constantly harassed me for about 15 minutes walking around the truck just waiting for me to get out.lol.
Pulled up the Garmin and Buster was 800 plus yards away. So I figured I might as well drive on closer. As I was driving out another skunk was in the road. Figured the night would turn out bad. Well now Buster is .7 miles away. So anyhow driver within 250 yards walked in to get him waiting to get a nice smell. Well got lucky he left stink's alone and had a nice coon sitting in the tree waiting on me.

Rob,
The other evening while driving around my wife looked at the pup and told him before long he would be to big to ride on the console and would have to go to the back. Without thinking I immediately said well he has the passenger seat. Yes I got that look, lol.

I will third that it has to be something you love to do it. Justin enjoyed it but now he would much rather go fishing then to hunt. I am hoping as he gets done with teenager drama he will get back into it.

Dan,
Trying to work it out to make it up there but I am not for sure yet if I will. Just watch them shady characters that hang around up there.

Prayers for all in need.

Prayers to all!
Michael, GLAD no skunk action with your dawg!
Link, Try not to do too much! AND... take the memories with you as you go thru the stuff. I have to say going thru Mums stuff with her now, while she is alive is wonderful AND sad... I bet you will find some wonderful memories.
I promise I will try to be good at Mums this weekend and not get even more sore! lol... or too tired... Bob has his annual fishing trip Sunday! Lu ckily his back is now fine!

Don't have to go to mums till tomorrow! Real glad cause I had a sore back today and woulda been grumpy.........
Beautiful day here. Got to hear some hounds singing off in the woods across the street! Musta been exercising the foxhounds today. When I went for a walk out back I missed Webster so much I cried.... He was such a pain in the neck... but we loved him. I know we'll never have another like him and never hear a voice like that again! He was so weird! lol!
I hear the Big Tom outside the window under the feeder. Bet he'd be good eatting....lol... If he only knew what people think.
Gardens doing decent. I see lots of little tomatos trying to grow! I can't wait... our last few store bought have been AWFUL! I pigged out on lettuce and spinach again this morn. Bob will wonder where it all is this weekend...LOL...
Hope you all have a GRAND weekend and if you make it to the woods... HappyHunting!
Heather
