Rough hunting

If you can make out my dog in this mess, you can see how some of these ole' WV. coons make it tough on a hound and coon hunter. This is pushed over trees and strip rocks on the edge of a mining strip. The upper side of this strip is a 30 ft. high wall. Coons sometimes go over these high walls leaving your hound at the bottom. That is unless your hound is smart enough to go around until it finds a place to get up, come back along the top, pick back up the track, and take the coon on and tree it. I have seen Penny go over two or three of these strips in a single chase and tree and have the coon when I got there. She is 2 1/2 years old. They need to learn this at a young age when trained here.
