A JOKER pup won't go hunting and a Garmin is the way to go. Little girl got away from me and out of hearing and out of Garmin range. Found Annie four hours later , barked almost out, treed four mile from where I turned her loose. Sure was happy to see her , she went around me and back to the river.I just knew she was under the ice somewhere. Don't believe I'll hunt there until the ice is gone. Tom

Get you a roof mount antenna....four miles is nothing roof mount would have picked her right up...they only cost about 40 bucks shipped I have tried them all and the magnetic roof mount is the way to go...glad you found her BOB

Bub , the crazy man from Iowa is coming tonite to go hunting. Don't know how that will turn out but we will give it a shot. Dogs are going to the Classic pretty stale but I bet you niether one has forgotten how to tree a coon At least we will be warm tonite, thank god and the old woman for the ranger . Took Bub alot longer to get here than the hunt lasted. Drove the ranger a mile into the timber and turned ANNIE and BOATER loose. They turned around and went right back the way we came. Don't know if they winded it out of the ranger or what but they were treed and had the coon . About that time it started snowing hard so Bub decided to head for home. Thanks to the rangrt we only walked about fifty yards. TOM
Gentleman that exercises with us painted it for me. Thought he did a real nice job. I wouldn't have bought it but was a good year and wanted something to remind me. TOM
Called me today and the hunt is on. Brandon has a pup out of BOATER he wants me to hunt with says he is the best thing since peanut butter. Going to take the camera , so should have a few pictures of him tomorrow. Can.t wit to see him go, Brandon said to leave the billfold at home cause he was not for sale. TOM

Thanks for the info but mother says thats not happening right now. Had BOATER out last night and I hope he got that out of his system.Don't know what the deal was but he would not leave me in one spot. Thought I was hunting a pup for a while. Think maybe the coyotes are mating and he did't want to be out there by himself .three more days and then that long ride, hope the weather is better down there. TOM
