David and Jenny

Kent, we hunted Jenny and Highway, davids pup out of Jabo and Ed wilsons puochen camp daisy. that pup stayed in for the whole race and was at the tree. he is 7mo old. had a good hunt and david found the coon and was petting jenny up for a job well done when i took their pics. LWS.

She looks great Larry! I do believe that you have a treedog on your hands.

That pup of Dave's sound like it is flat coming along as well. I think that we have got something right on our hands here....if we don't screw it up. lol

Larry

His ears are big and long thats for sure.lol If the other dogs tree first he will put his nose on that tree and move right up it to make sure they are right. Theres no treeing for him if they are wrong. My friends get upset if I tell them Chief says their dogs are slick treeing.lol He can no longer ride in the cab because he is always trying to get out my window because he is always rigging a coon when we get near the hunting area. Some think he is mouthy on a leash but the fact is he is always winding a coon. On the way to the woods people say shut that dog up, but then we stop and I cut him and when the others are taking a leak, Chief is out running the track he struck out of the box. Sure glad Im on the Jabo train because its a fun ride.lol Take care

Dave

Get some new pics up of that good lookin hound. =) I'd love to see a picture of Hank pulled up on the hardwood.

Jack won't back a dog if he doesn't smell it either. He did that in the hunt this weekend, he can strollin' by and never end offered to stutter step...let alone tree with them.

I do have

to get more pics. My camera isnt the best. I borrowed my sons expensive one and it broke after the first time I used it. I went to pull the card out and part of the reading mechanism came out with it. Ill be taking more pics tonite. Im going to have to get something better to to use. Most come out blurry. The ones I did have got wiped out when I tried using the same card on a game camera. That was a dumb move on my part. If my back gets better Chief will be in a qualifying hunt Saturday. Going to see how it works tonite. Ill be taking pics and hopefully they turn out. I suppose reading the instructions first would help.lol Cameras are not like they used to be. Too many buttons and knobs. lolTake care.

I use one of those waterproof, shockproof cameras. they are pretty rugged and also are very simple. They are just point and shoot....my wife deals with the fancy ones....lol I deal with the point and click versions. =)

Thats what I need.

A point and shoot. My son looks at me like Im retarded when he starts to tell me how easy these new types of things work. I got a electro mechanical degree in 95 but things already changed so much my mind is outdated.lol I think Ill go and get one of those point and shoot cameras. Ill take my son along and listen to him tell me dont be so cheap and buy a better one. These jabo dogs are for real. Alot of people missed out but it looks like you have a stud dog with show and go on your hands. He is a looker also and you have done a good job with him. Ive had alot of people ask questions about Chief and the Jabo line. Of course there are those who know it all also. But those are the type who missed out and will keep missing out on getting a special dog. Like Ive said many times before, once I saw a pic of Jabo, i had to get a pup off him. Sure glad I jumped on that Jabo train cuz its a great ride.lol These are some houndy looking dogs with alot of go. There aint no drive missing in these thats for sure. Ive had nothing but enjoyment hunting this young dog and all I can say is wow most of the time. He is young but he sure aint dumb. I forgot but when he was 5 or 6 months old a friend offered me a good chunk of change for him. I said are you nuts? He isnt worth that much and pretty much forgot about it. I think he saw something special. Chief treed by scent and checked the tree like he always did and my friend was impressed. Before that his dog treed and Chief wouldnt tree. My friend asked why Chief wasnt treeing and I jokingly said there was no coon in the tree. Little did I know but I was right about that tree. He was so young I didnt really think he would be so accurate at that age. Take care.

Found out

my camera is smarter then me. Got some pics but it says I have to format it first. Last time I did that it wiped all the pics .Man I feel old.lol But I finally got a couple here. The first 2 are Chief. The 3rd pic is my 13 month old Ciscoe IV and the last pic is my Rip dog
On this coon he went thru the water and thru off the other 2 dogs but Chief worked it out and got it going for the other 2 so they could keep running also. The Rip dog is no slouch but the young man Chief had to help him out.lol

Jo-Ann had a good night. I cut a coon we trapped loose and then cut her loose. Much to my surprise it only went like 10 feet and then climbed a small tree.

So I shook it out of it and the race was back on. This time it went down the way and cut a hard left. I went back and cut the Jo-Ann loose and she followed that sent like a champ. She pulled up on the tree and then I cut her back up loose. She did a fine job tonight.

Here are some pictures of Jo-Ann on the tree.

And my favorite

Thanks

Chief is my bud and he is coon crazy. Going back out tonite and try to work my back into shape to get him in some hunts. My only regret is that I didnt enter him in a hunt when was 9 and 10 months old. There is no doubt he could have made dual ch at under 1 year old. He isnt perfect but he sure does a good job.

larry

JENNY IS ONE FINE LOOKIN' HOUND. GOOD LUCK WITH WHAT WE TALKED 'BOUT THE OTHER NIGHT.

I WENT WITH TIMMY OLDHAM TO THE COONPEN LAST NIGHT. BRANDY WAS THE ONLY ONE OF THE YOUNG ONES TO BARK TREED, BUT LEFT BEFORE I COULD GET TO HER. AFTER TIMMY LEFT 'ROUND MIDNIGHT I WENT HOME AND GOT KID AND THE PUP WE GOT BACK THE OTHER WEEK. SHE HUNTS OUT GOOD AND DIDN'T HANG WITH ME EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD BEEN RAISED AS A PET. KID KEPT POPPIN' COONS OUT OF THE AIR (NEVER BARKED ON THE GROUND) BUT NONE OF THE PUPS ACTED AS THOUGH THEY COULD SMELL ANYTHING. I JUST NEED TO FIND ME SOMEWHERE I CAN HUNT ON A REGULAR BASIS 'CAUSE THESE PUPS ARE READY TO DO "SOMETHING".

SEE YOU AT THE NEXT TREE.

Big Bright Moon and Hillbilly Jenny

Kent, hunted Jenny in that moon light by herself. dropped her a couple of times at big rock, she hunted out fair but never struck in. took her to the property and she crossed the creek on to the game land 275 yrds in and struck. 750 yrds later and tree Jenny. took a good pic but will have to wait untill monday to post. check back with you then. LWS.

Kent and Jon.

Morning, men. Kent, thanks for the collage of jabo and his offspring. those pics could not be possiable if not for the help and friendship of folks like you and Jon. i see where you and Jon hunted last night. hope all turned out well. here is the pics i have been meaning to post. Jenny, on fri night. chickasaw state forest, west tn. full moon and a pup that would shoot in there with her for about 40 yrds then come back. alot for a 16mo old youngster to have to deal with on a hunt. but she hunted out alone good on every drop. to include the last drop where she crossed the creek, back side of my property went into the forest struck and 750 yrds later treed. then saturday night a show and hunt at ripley tn. she won show w/ competition and was very competive in the cast. again a full moon and no plus points on our cast but she was by far the hardest hunting dog in the cast and the youngest to boot. last is a pic from last night in the bledsoe state forest, near no at the top of pikeville tn. went in 350 yrds with pup. came back with pup. i hissed her back in there and she rambled down in there to about 850 yrds and struck 7 or 800 yrds later treed. she is really starting to put it together. guess i'll have to pour it on, LOL. LWS.
