Just got home from hunting and had to post. My female "Herbie" out of Logan and Cami had another proud moment tonight. She took the track away from my old GRNT and treed first. He went on by her and treed 51 yards from her. She had one coon, he had two coon. When I tied her up and went to him she just treed harder. She was still looking up every breath when I got back to her. I left her home the other night and wished I had her the whole hunt. She looks like she's going to be a solid dog from the tailgate to the tree.

Rich we had some really good hunting early in the season and now since all the big rains we have had here plus the rain north of us it has flooded most all of our prime hunting ground, last year you could hunt almost in tennis shoes all winter in the bottoms , not this year !!! LOL

We have had a lot of rain to. We have had 2 to 3 inches alot just 1 inch from setting a new record in one year. Most of the creeks are back down so we can still hunt. rich

Rich the ground where i live is flat as a pancake and the creeks, bayous, sleuths and river when they get full and flood out the timber they just don"t run off very fast especially this time of the year ! Guess your still hunting these Uchtman hounds and have"t backslid to some other line ? LOL

Thanks. He is kinda tall and lanky now I hope he starts to fill out the older he gets. If you notice in the picture the coon only has 3 legs he is missing the front one there. Must have been in a trap before.

Sold some coon tonight and averaged $10.00. A guy had some beaver and got $5.00, Coyotes and Red fox were bringing $25.00. one guy had a fischer and the buyer offered him $30.00 no sale. Deer hides were bringing $5.00 or a pair of gloves.
Took a young boy along that hunted my Bonnie female (Newton x Morgan) he had 20 coon and got a nice check.

This is Gunner. He is out of Lonnie's Hawk II.
Gunner is about 15 months old. He is one of the most natural tree dogs that I have ever owned. I picked him up last weekend at the battle. Gunner had never been in the woods until last Sunday night and he treed by hisself the first time out and he has been doing well every since.

I think your chances are very Good, i have hunted with a bunch of Uchtman dogs out of Zeb and the ones that make it seem to be VERY good track dogs, open trailers that move the track and good accurate tree dogs, i have a half sister to Zeb that is out of a different gyp that is 10 now, sure hate when the day comes that she is gone !!!
