The one

on the grey truck was 500#live weight and the other was over 400 if I remember right. The one on the grey truck is the one you are getting. The cat in the pic with the snow was a nice one and probably would have made Pope & Young easily. But since I didnt know when Id be back I wanted a bigger one. It never did bother me that I didnt harvest it. It wasnt too tough of a hunt since I was in top shape. Now would be a different story.lol Some places you had to be real carefull because it was so steep. We camped in a big outfitters tent and it was alot of fun. The cats were easy to tree if you have a half way decent dog. All hound hunters should try it at least once. Even if its a small cat its alot of fun and pictures are worth more than a rug. There are a couple lion on the loose in Wisconsin and Id like to run one here. I havent seen a lion track here since the 80s. Then the DNR said there were none and it couldnt have been a lion. Idiots.

gosh ed he aint that old !! he is only 6 comin into the prime of his life. oh and by the way he surely didnt forget . it didnt take him that long to get one up on a full moon night!! its a been a year since he was last cut loose that was the night i got converted and had to have me a reddog outta lightnin!! man eddie he sounded pretty good i can only imagine how he sounds if he were hunted up in shape!! work him up slow now he will be sore tomorow. todd

Todd-Craig it was hard to find a place to hunt they were picking corn everywhere tonight but still had a pretty good night will post some pixs tom.

We have

snow on the ground and supposed to have 6 inches or more north of here. Cold, windy and wet. Will see how the dogs adjust to the weather change tonite. It might be a cold one. Someone just told me he heard of a 90 lb. coon that was shot but the DNR confiscated it.lol This guy has some stories to tell and believes everything.lol My Angel dog was at the vets and they found 3 more quills and she should be ok in a couple weeks. Got to head out and go grocery shopping now. The pups are crazy and want to hunt every second. I cant go anywhere without them going nuts. A friend who is a Plott guy called me last nite and he just bought a Redbone female named Rain from here in the state. She is a bench champion and is supposed to be a ok dog. Ill find out Friday and I hope she is turns out as he hopes she will. He bought her mcdonalds on they way home. I know they have some fine dogs and she should be a ok dog. I talked him into putting her on the bench already to finish her into a grand. She has some good blood and I am as anxious as they are to see her hunt. Take care

It was

a windy sloppy mess but we did manage to tree a few. Rip did a good job but is still hoarse. A couple den trees and 3 on the outside. Wind gusts over 30mph. Heavy wet snow blowing in our faces. Did take one for the young dogs. Hard to see wearing glasses. Coon population is down around here and Im limited to where I can hunt because of private land anymore. The state land is hunted pretty good and we found dozens of coon skinned out in piles there before season started. I had notified the DNR and hope they get caught. Just got done filling up with firewood and will crank up the fireplace from now on. I hope I dont bring the snow with me when I come down there. If the roads there are as bad as you say I can come and just visit instead of hunt. I dont need a dog run over and dont want to risk it. I will have the pups for sure as they go where I go and my wife is always mad at them.lol Take care.

Had

a great hunt tonite Ed. Full moon,snow and 20 degrees. My Jabo pup and my Rip dog did great That pup is special and wont need singled out and hunted alone. At almost 1 year old he will cold trail and put a tree at the end and specializes in layups. Heres a couple pics. The one slobbering is Rip and the other is Chief the pup.

TODD...CHAD...JOSH... 21 COONS IN 3 NIGHTS ON A FULL MOON SEEN 30-32

Hey had a great time it was good to get out of the house for a change & hear some good ol dog work.We treed a bunch of coons on bad nights.

Hope y'all had a good time will post some pixs when I get back on my feet truck driver is a tuff job. pretty beat rite now.

Hope you guys get back here before to long may be Craig can come the next time.
