Talked to Cheyenne Grissett from way down south, he sure likes his John II x LuLu pup. Cadence has been running and treeing since 6 mos old and is an explosive treedog that is looking to get treed. Cheyenne says that treeing coon down there in those swamps and along the rivers is difficult but Cadence manages to get one treed every now and then..........Tim

I talked to Mark Brown and his Psyco pup ( Turk X Pearl, a Pop A Top female ) treed three singles night before last. Mark said this pup just does everything right and does better each time to the timber.
Timmy and I have two Turk pups one is only 4 1/2 months old and the other is 6 months old that we are starting. Working on caged coon and starting to take them to the woods with the old dogs. Both show a lot of desire and a lot of promise. Time will tell.

Talked to Doug Linn this morning, he wanted to tell me about his Turk x Crystal pup running and treeing his barn cat. Doug said that she bawled on the ground and a real hard chop on tree, not bad for 5 mos old. Doug is suppose to send some pictures of her.........Tim

I get allot of comments about how many of us hunting the mad dog line genuinely seem to like each other when we go to the big hunts. I have thought about those comments and why people perceive us to be different enough to make that statement. For me what sets us apart is many of us are friends because of the dogs. We actually knew the hounds first. We are not buddies pushing our buddy's dogs. We liked our dogs then come the friendships because of that. Many people are friends and then push their friends dogs. I guess most of us are opposite. I for one am looking forward to the future fellowship.

Just got off the phone with Dale Imhof from Southern Michigan. Dale has a young dog that he calls Cowboy (John II x Lucy) that he is real proud of. Cowboy is running and treeing with the old dogs and is getting split treed with the meat on a regular basis. Dale said that Cowboy gets in deep quick and likes to get by himself, its nothing for him to strike in at 900yrds all by himself. Cowboy is not a year old yet and if he keep going the way he is headed he will be in the hunts late spring or early summer. Good luck with him and keep me posted..........Tim

Talked to Big Brother, he said that he has been treeing some coon but thinks that it will get better when the moon goes down. Paul hunts Astro one night then it's Glos turn followed by At-A-Girl, some nights he will take two dogs alternating hollers.........Tim

Heres a pic of NTCH Robin last night under a big boar coon. First dump she treed a den 850 yrds from the truck. Luckly we were able to drive within 50 yrds. Next dump she struck about 200yrds in and ran in it back across the road. Prob ran it 600yrds before slamming this one. She did a nice job. Sounded like there was 2 dogs on this tree,she trees so hard. lol. Don't reckon that has anything to do with her parents do you Tim? I think the coon are movin better around here. Plannin on hittin the woods hard this week. Could use a little mosture for trackin but I don't want much cause feedin cows is a lot easier when its dry. By the way, as you know with regret we sold Lacey (Turk X Lucy) to a 12yr old boy and his dad not to far from here. She has treed them 13 coons by herself. I think she was 12 months old a couple days ago. They love her.we had a call yesterday from one of their friends lookin for a dog ready to go to the woods just like her. This summer the boy wants to go to the hunts with her. I told him he could hop in with us anytime. Always exciting gettin youth in the sport.

Went hunting with Doug Linn and Troy & Tyler Young. Doug had Froggy and a 4 1/2 month old pup, Troy had a 6 mos old pup and I took Ranger. Ranger and Froggy struck in over 1000 yrds and fell treed--Slam Dunked-- and had the meat. It was the first coon for both pups and they weren't bashful about getting some fur in their teeth, neither pup was afraid of the dark either. Both pups showed a lot of promise. The next turn out the old dogs went over a mile and a half and we got them out of a dozer pile. The coon weren't moving very well so we called it a night........Tim
