When line breeding like I do, you need to make an outcross. I bought a young pup from Mike to make out crosses on.
This pup just turned five months old and just today saw his 2nd caged coon. I turned it loose and he opened and ran on track for over 100 yards and treed in the ground. I had to make him leave. He would have treed all day I believe.
He's easy on the eyes and plenty loud for 5 months old.
Mike is a tremendous Walker breeder and I'm proud to have his blood being added to my line of hounds.

This pup is smart and is a natural. Those are the first two traits I look for when breeding to an outside stud. Johhny Jet is that future stud dog and will bring those qualities to not only my kennels. But to others down the road.

I made my first cross with a grand daughter of Kaw River Chief and bred her to a Grandson of Houses Tom Tom. It started me on a 10 generation journey that's kept me in nice dogs for over 30 years.
Thanks Ole Tom Tom. Tom was sired by Law River Chief. I've line bred ever since.

He will flat lock down and blow the top out of a caged coon or hide. He has ran and retreed a turn loose coon and he did that at straight up 5 mo. Old. He has the confirmation to make a Gr. Show champion with ease when he gets old enough to show.
Good clear cracking mouth for a baby pup. Bold and will go hunting by himself now. I'm trying to hold back with him and that's hard to do. I took him for his first official hunt the other nite and he just stayed busy and met all 6 of us that were hunting together every time we stopped. Just baby pup stuff. Right at the end of the hunt he went off by himself and got struck on something.
He's leaning to lead, load, ride the 4-wheeler etc.
He's very very athletic and is very gamey.
He is an added blessing to my kennel. I have only added 1 outside male into my breeding program in 35 years. He's the second if that tells you what I think of him. I got him from Mike Shannon from team Hillbilly Mac.
He's got a ways to go to be a coondog but man he's off to a great start!

" Peep" just won the Mississippi State Show!!!
She beat some very good hounds and some really nice handlers.
It's very humbling to me. I've won a lot, but I've been on the receiving end of losing and winnngs a lot more fun. I'm blessed. We won a pickup bed full of stuff. I'm like all jacked up on Dr.Pepper. lol
Had a ton of people come up and congratulate me and really gave so many compliments that I am overjoyed.

I had several folks ask me what I had coming up pup wise and when I mentioned my new pup from Jeb and Mandy. They had all heard of Jeb and Mandy and had great things to say about them a couple had hunted with Mandy and really sang her praises. Let's try to hunt some soon. The weather's cooler but we still need a rain bad. I'm ready to hunt Peep wide open. She was starting to turn the crank at the end of last season.
