My 1st dog had som of the same breeding. I believe one of the females in his ped was a littermate to the Gem female.
Its been a few years so I can not remember everything in his ped.

.................Littermate to Gem??

For some reason I'm drawing a blank. I am pretty sure that Babe's mother was a littermate to Gem. I know Babe was a granddaughter to Fin. Riv. Boone.
Terry Willford could probably fill in some of the blanks. Terry hunted with the Joe dog a few times.
I got this dog from Harold Brummer at 4-5 months old. The Freezer dog is still the most natural, early starting tree dog I or my dad have ever seen. He treed like a pro with old dogs the first night in the woods at 5 1/2 months and was treeing his own coon at 10 months old. He wasn't afraid to split tree and old pressure even as a pup, he was a nice lay-up dog, and he could take a tough track and finish it.
From the time this pup was a year old to the time he was 3, I would have put him up against anything. For some reason he started to slip around 3 years old. On a moonlit night, he would either tree lay-up after lay-up or would blow a deer thru the country and get treed slick. I think I put him in a few bad situations and he wasn't nearly as consistent as he was as a young dog. I sold him 10-11 years ago back to Harold when he was 5 years old.
We only bred him to 2 females. I'm not sure if he was ever bred after we sold him. I'd love to find something that goes back to him.
