hunted shelly last night she looked pretty good, 3 trees all big oaks, found the coon in one, gave her a treat, brought him down.....Gerald

shelly

shelly has treed me some coons this week, last night our first turm out was not good they all slick treed on a little tree in a thicket, shelly got a tuning up on it, the next turn out they struck hot, drove him into a swampy area with knee deep water, shelly drifted it out not saying much then slammed a tree, the other dogs backed her and she had the meat, and got rewarded, called it a night, 2 hunts this weekend, friday and sat night, we will go for it and hope for the best and have fun, good luck to you guys going to Nationals.......Gerald

hunt update

Hunted Shelly at Glendale, AR. last night 8 registered dogs shelly got split and had her coon, won the cast with 200+ no minus won 1st place and ntch out, hunting tonight at woodlawn,AR. would be sweet to get a ntch win tonight, would make for a double treat weekend........Gerald

Congrats to Timmy and Mad Dog Smoke on thier win last night at Nationals.

hunt update

Shelly picked up a ntch win last night, in woodlawn,AR. 425+ 150 circle no minus, Shelly got the first coon by herself 200+, then turned back in to another dog still on track,he treed she backed him,150 circle there,next cut Shelly went in deep and got struck, drifted a track in hitting here and there, then fell treed, had the meat again 225+=425+ 1 down 4 to go.......Gerald

Lance, I said on thursday that TEAM MAD DOG was in great hands and would represent us all in fine fashion, and that is exactly what happend, when you are walking behind dogs that has had 1/2 a century of planning and selective breeding for the duel purpose of competing and treeing coons, good things are going to happen, congratulations to all my Team members on an awesome 2012 national Bluetick Days ........Gerald

Thanks for the encouragement. It was fun and we realize how hard it was to walk out of there with 1/2 of the six king and queen trophies so we took pics. It was hard enough to walk out with what we had saturday afternoon but adding king that night was awesome. It was not easy. This was one of those hunts that we had to go head to head with some of the best not drawing out around them. On those days our dogs performed. It made the drive home shorter. We had a blast and was just one of those special weekends.
