I ran into a "rescue" person in Brooklyn NY today who has a Walker female, very nice looking, that she is "fostering" in an apartment with two cats. This dog is a coondog and will not leave the cats in peace! She appears to have been hit by a car--dislocated left front shoulder that healed improperly, although she can still move well.
The dog was imported from a shelter in Rutherfordton, NC about a month ago. She had been brought in there as a stray.

my bet is that someone is looking for this dog. she would still make a great pup trainer or brood female. however, this "rescuer" is not going to give her back easily. If this dog might be yours, pm me and I will see what I can do for you. It definitely needs out of the small apartment with cats in it!

Regarding the TW with a "rescuer" in Brooklyn, NY - The person keeping this hound will NOT give her up to a Hunter & also, this gyp has been spayed. Negative mention of the dog being kept outside & hunted, & the pics of the dog wearing a harness are BIG signals of a "Rescue Nazi." I appreciate this person for looking after this hound - but doubt she'll turn her over to ANYONE but a bunny-hugger - if AT ALL.

Found a bitch dog on my front porch yesterday, bout two years old. Bred, looks about a week away from whelping. No collar. Found in Madison county North Carolina along Highway 209. if you lost her or know who did get them in touch with me and with a pic or proper description feel free to come pic her up. if no one claims her ill just keep her, sell the pups, see if she hunts and either keep or sell her, and assume she was just a stray and consider her lucky see didnt end up at the pound somewhere. Thanks yall. She is well fed and very friendly

P.S. I hope somebody claims her because i hate raising a gang of pups in the dead of winter.

This dog was found near Keystone Sportsmen Club near Muncy on Nov. 5th.
A nice family took her in, but unfortunately she wondered off and was
hit by a car on 11/4. They were good souls and took her to the vet.
She has a fractured left rear leg which will heal in 4-6 weeks.
She has no collar, no ID, no microchip.

Vet says she is between 1 and 1 1/2 years of age and is a Walker/Blue Tick Coon hound mix

Family's landlord is forcing them to get rid of the dog in a week. If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please call in case the original owner is not found.

LOST DOG in EAST CAMBRIDGE, OHIO at I – 70 Truck Stop Go Mart off of Exit 186. Neither the transport nor the trucker can stay to look for this poor dog!

Tater was to meet up with a Long Haul Trucker for his Journey to Denver, CO, but he got away from the driver while waiting she was waiting to meet up with the long haul trucker. The driver is still looking for Tater, but she has to drive back to VA before the storm hits and the long haul Truck Driver has arrived and is helping with search, but he is unable to wait a long time.
They are East Cambridge, OH at I – 70 Truck Stop Go Mart off of Exit 186
Tater has on a retractable red leash attached to a black harness on him. All his tags are attached to his harness with his I.D information

make sure you look over the Facebook page for coonhound rescue network if you've lost a hound. By the time they get here, they'll be spayed or neutered, but dogs with a decent temperament may end up here if they've been missing for a while, and some are sent quite some distance from the point where they were picked up

this is also a good place to look if you're looking for a pet hound. some of these may hunt, but no one has tested them for that
