Just to update and ask a question.

I was looking for one of the above products and could only find the Bayer in the "feed" type. I did find another that seems to have the same ingredients though. Ortho Max Tree & Shrub. It's listed as 1.47% Imidacloprid and 98.53% Other Ingredients. Would the "other" ingredients be the same as Bayer? Is this what is listed with the Gordon's and Old Dominion?

Thanks

WHAT KIND OF REACTION, AND YOU MUST REMEMBER LIKE PEOPLE- a PERTICULAR DOG COULD HAVE A REACTION TO ANYTHING, I HEARD OF DOGS THAT HAVE A REACTION TO A PERTICULAR DOG FOOD ETC, BUT AS A WHOLE I THINK ITS FINE, IF YOU LOOK ON A MED. BOTTLE THE LISTED POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS WILL SCARE YOU BUT YOU MUST TAKE ANYWAY. JMO

YOU MUST USE 4cc PER 10lbs AND PUT ON BACK AND SOME ON BELLY AND RUBB IT IN ALL OVER BELLY, I DID IT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO AND HAVENT SEEN A FLEA SENCE.

ALSO HOW DO WE KNOW THE FERT. PART IS HARMFULL, YOU PUT IT ON FRUIT AND VEGGYS, YOUR DOG IS IN IT WHEN HE HUNTS, SO WHO SAYS IT IS HARMFULL, WHY IS IT MORE HARMFULL THAN THE MAIN INGREEDENT? IF YOU CHECK ABOUT THE IMMITION THAT THE CATTLE TAGS PUT OFF IT CAN BE HARMFULL ALSO.
AND ONE OTHER THOUGHT, IS THE FERTILIZER MORE OR LESS HARMFULL THAT THE NASTY WATER YOUR DOG DRINKS WHEN YOU HUNT HIM? OR THE DEAD ANIMAL HE ROLES IN.

any around Chesterfield VA

The Bayer that the Lowe's sells has the fertilizer and I am not going to use that on my dogs. I went by Tractor Supply and they did not have the Gordon's or Old Dominion Tree and Shrub. Does anyone know of a place around Chesterfield,VA that sells either or a place I can purchase online. Thanks

Hi, new here. I read about Bayer Tree and Shrub on other forums and stumbled upon these forums when looking for the dosage after I bought some.

Unfortunately, the Bayer Corp. seems to have changed the formula of the product and added fertilizer or just changed the label when they added the "Protect And Feed". Since no one knows if it was just a label change or a formula change some people don't trust the product anymore. So, people on other forums I have visited have stopped using Bayer and moved on to Ortho Max Tree and Shrub or Gordon's Tree and Shrub.

I couldn't find Gordon's, but I had no problem finding Ortho Max at Home Depot. Same Imidicloprid 1.47% and same price for 32oz as the Bayer.

Old Dominion Tree & Shrub

I have a case of Old Dominion Tree & Shrub and can bring it to Autumn Oaks this weekend if anybody needs some. I will need $15.00 a qt. for this.
Give me a call before Weds. or at Oaks and I should have some.
Have used this on old dogs and pups and it seems to work great.

The new stuff is green and they added fertilizer is it still safe to use? I notice its not meant for spray on now and intended to pour around the base of the tree.

is it the same doseage?
is it still safe?

Go to Feedstore

Dominion works fine - my feedstore man said it's the same as Bayer T&S. I've been using (both) of this stuff for several years now & never had a problem or bad reaction. I believe SOME people aren't reading the label & they've purchased something OTHER than T&S. In Texas it's a constant battle against fleas & ticks & T&S has literally saved me HUNDREDS of dollars that I used to spend on sprays & dips.

Bayer Tree & Shrub

I been usin' it for the past 3 yrs. No ill effects at all that i can see.I do dilute it with water 50/50.In my opinion, for the price, you can't beat it.

I doubt it would do any good poured around the base of your dog.
If it is 1.47% Imidaclorpid it is the same dosage. Safe? I sling fertilizer by hand and get it in my shoes for hours and don't think anything of it. Some people are scared of fertilizer, LOL unless it's organic of course.
