Tar
I bought a younger dog 3 years ago that has a UKC first place win, a decent dog. I have never put him in a hunt although he is the winning type. He is clean tight mouthed and good accurate tree dog , since he suited me and would not be for sale or bred , I saw absolutely no need in finishing him to Champion. He is nothing special and Grand Nights are a dime a dozen around these parts. I just pleasure hunt him, he does not know he isn't titled, I don't think he would care. He just likes good food and treeing cooks. I have won my fair share of hunts over the years, especially when I was younger and liked to brag on my dogs. I am older and dumber now, no need to brag, folks around here know I hunt good dogs. I usually keep my dogs until they die, however this past year I gave away 2 decent coondogs . The man from North Carolina contacted me recently to thank me and tell me how much fun him and his kids had hunting Rattler this past winter. Now that meant more to me than any amount of money could ever mean. You see, I don't need or have to prove anything to anyone but myself, but I am a hard man to please. Lol. Dave P.S. I meant treeing coons not cooks above.
