Are that that many more world champion caliber coondogs from the Indiana area or does everyone just think that the hunting will be better around Greencastle? I wonder why there are so many more dogs entered there?

Well I have been there the last 2 years and I had pretty horrible hunting for 4 casts in a row. I decided Meadville surely has to be better it was 3 and 4 years back. Some folks in Indiana take you to a fence line with a creek and think that's good for a cast of dogs. Then some take a cast to a patch woods full of briars with nothing behind it. I take guiding very serious even at a local hunt but fact is many of these guides haven't ever hunted. They are there to get paid and possibly see what its like. Don't get me wrong they are trying to help but end up making it very hard on a cast that wants to see some coon. I understand it's hard to put 150 dogs in the woods but man we as hunters have a lot wrapped up in these big hunts.

Punky bruster my guess would be 16%/16.4% of entries at zones based on those numbers. So Greencastle would be 26 or 27. Just a guess

If I read the rules correctly i.e. "Dogs Advancing From Zone Semifinals":
Each Zone will advance a number of dogs entered in that Zone compared to the total World Championship entry."

If I read correctly the Zones may advance the following totals of dogs:

Zone 1 - 19.7 dogs
Zone 2 - 25.7 dogs
Zone 3 - 12.5 dogs
Zone 4 - 13.2 dogs
Zone 5 - 9.7 dogs
Zone 6 - 11.3 dogs
Zone 7 - 7.6 dogs

Total - 99.7 dogs

Do you round off to the next highest number?

Okay, I see your post. Thanks.

Steve

Yes, those figures are all rounded to the next highest figure, which would give you the numbers I have posted above, for a combined total of 103.

They will eventually post a list of all of the dogs/owners entered. But it may be after most people have left to go to their Zone.

Confirmations were mailed out Friday morning, so owners should be receiving those by mail here shortly.

Anyone that would like to call the office to get their entry number are more than welcome.

.

We have had to find a guy at the last minute in another state to handle our dog. What does he need as far as paper work when he shows up at the hunt. I would like to make sure he has everything he needs.

Easy Entry Card?
Conformation Numer only or it written on some paperwork?
Besides the dog and some luck anything else?

All you need is the dog's ez entry card. That is all the Rep will need to see.

No because hundreds of dogs get qualified and never enter the zones. For instance I qualified 3 and only entered 2. Many use the RQE hunts to get a easy 1st place win or a easy win toward Grand Nite
