Was there ever any semen collected on Chief?

Semen

I doubt there is any in existence but he was collected and some frozen. I know because I used some of it with negative results.

Chief

There was an article in the Coonhound Bloodlines several years ago, about a male dog called Freeze, that was a product of frozen seamen, from Chief, and I had heard that he was collected, but it was improperly stored, so it wasn't any good. Freeze was supposedly the only offspring, from seamen, and he was a big game dog.

Does anyone know if this hound is still alive?

Mailes Rattler a grand pup to Chief on female side. Sue one of the best reproducers Chief produced. Rattlers Sire would be a grand pup to Chief's sister and a great grand pup of Chief or a grandson to Sue. The kicker is Rattler sired last year's UKC Blue world champion and this year's Battle of Breeds Queen. Rattler is getting some age on him and hasn't been used on very many top of the line females.

Double Cheif Grnite

Not sure but I think the Game Changer Blue dog the finished in the UKC world hunt top 25 was double Bullet bred and Bullet is out of JBS Cheif but I don't know if Game Changer Blue is a Grnite yet but I'm sure if not he would make Grnite .

BLUE MUSIC FREEZE was his name I Believe Mr. Rudy Garrison Owned him. Think he had around 12 pups. They would be around 11 or 12 Yrs. Old now themselves. Still Got Hank here but Not Breeding Any Outside Females as He is getting Old Himself!! RBP

We have two straws on Bullet

Before Chief got old he was a real looker. I loved his head. Not to start any talk but Lee and I have been talking about a possible cross back to Bullet. I don't know if either one of us is healthy enough to jump back in the ring right now but it's really on our minds.

Jared I would love to cross back on a female that's line bred on Smokey River June. Preferably out of Bullet 11. That being said, Bullet crossed really well with Jet breeding. We have so little of it its hard to make a choice without doing some real hard homework.

Roger that would be a hard decision especially since you guys only have two straws on him. Have you guys ever tried any of it out and if so how did it turn out? I know nothing about the straws or frozen semen

We have not tried it but the late Gary Moore of Once Frozen put it up and said it was very strong. To be honest with you we've been afraid to use it scared that we would miss!

Forrest you changing colors?

I talked with Dennis and I might be able to get his Queen female to PA. in April if that would help.
