I have the Sunfire HD and love it, it takes a beating here in the mountains.. I'm sure the Horizon is the same if not better!

I think the photo problem has been repaired. Typed it up riding in the truck headed to KY to hunt and something happened to the photo link.

Has anyone compared the two lights side by side? I'm wondering which light is brighter, the Boss Hotspot 3D or the Sunfire Ultra Horizon. Also I'm using a K-Light convertible right now and the beam is so tight it makes it hard to walk without tripping on everything. Do these two lights flood out enough to fix this problem? I appreciate everyone's help, thanks.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with the beam being too tight for walking. Maybe cuz I walk too slow.

What I can't find is a light that can reach out far enough to light up eyes in trees a couple hundred yards away.

And last year I couldn't find a neck strap/lanyard with a clip capable of holding up these heavy multi led heads. Don't know if anyone has finally made one. Or some kind of a summer vest or harness where the head could be clipped at the front of the shoulder like a cop radio.

I have the sunspot ultra horizon,,and love it,I did had the sunfire hd,,very nice light but beam wasn't wide enough for me for walking,i used to trip over everything myself,,the horizon is perfect,,nice wide flooded light,,since I've had the horizon I haven't tripped at all,,lights up the whole viewing area around you,,for for it was well worth getting the horizon

I noticed you didn't say the Brightest is what you want. That's good, because there is about 3 of them that claim to be the brightest, All with different Lux readings......LOL
If you want a lightweight, dependable, moderately priced Caplight,.........
Get you one of the Superior Lightweight Composite Head Caplights with their Cordless Spotlights........priced at $300 for the package. You will have All the light you want to walk with, a Spotlight if you need it, and Customer Service 2nd to No One if you should need it........All this Built and Backed by Sam Davis at Superior Lights.

Most of these Caplights are Way too heavy, this one that Sam builds is very comfortable and Lightweight. Don't let the Composite Head worry you, it's Tough and very durable.
Good luck.

I'm going to chime in

Hard to say but I have 4 lights just got me one of them lights that is supost to be one of, if not the brightest lights on the market today so here is my findings.
Growing up I hunted with a 2 cell flash light and a coon dog and did not have any trouble finding the coon, NOW I hunt with any of the 4 lights and can't hardley ever find the coon " need a brighter light " well I have concluded all that is needed to find a coon is a COON DOG which it is evident I don't have because I have 4 of the brightest lights on the market and still looking for the brightest light so I can find the coon. Bright is not the answer when leaves are on. I have a Sunfire mini (very bright) and I never use the bright setting to shine a tree. I'll shine with the amber lens and I've had more success finding coons this way. It's tempting to turn on that super bright light, but it won't help.

I agree totally, my first light was a Wheat Light, the one you had to add water in, found many, many Coon with that light, but it would blow bulbs bad.
This is a money racket with these Lights anymore, just ask yourself how many upgrades have you made in the last 3 years with your certain brand of Light ?
To be honest, I don't care for most of the Caplights, way too heavy.
I have come to think I like a good lightweight Beltlight, I don't mind the cord.
I wonder how man of these Light Builders at Autumn Oaks will have a New Light, or an Upgrade to their current Light 4-sale and it be the 2nd or 3rd in the last year ?..... Sit back and watch.....😏

I have been actually looking at the New Nite Lite, but it is a little pricey, about $399......don't know it is worth that, I hear a lot of bad things about Nite Lite, but have owned several in years past and can't remember having one single issue with them.
