The point? you still won so what's the big deal? It the countdown, has been voted on at the last 2 rules meetings and was turned down. I personally do not care one way or the other, but if I want to countdown, I'll simply go hunt another registries hunt the night I have that urge. Choices are a good thing. Like eating out. Will it be seafood or steak? And yes, that's my choice, just like hunting for money or trophy.
With that said, my experience has seen the better hound win in both.....countdown hunts and not. Pack a coondog and you will have a chance.
