Ranger throws treedogs and Ruger may throw a treedog or two. Rex also has some treedogs on the ground. The splittin Ax dog is out of Ace and is in Canada.

The Splitting Ax dog is in Canada, but he isn't out of Ace. Twin Creek Splitting Ax is a littermate brother to Myers Mighty Hoss these dogs are out of GRNITECH Ozark Screaming Bo and Swampghost Ragin Jody. Egli's Ragin Hoss II is dead, but he was also a son of Ozark Screaming Bo. Bo bred dogs are tree dogs as are dogs out of Ace. Ace is a son of Super Sting who was also well known for throwing tree dogs as were the hounds behind him. These dogs are from the Minehart strain of B&T which is a very solid line of dogs. These two bloodlines are the two that I like to see in the pedigrees of my dogs. There are also a lot of guys who are in love with the pups out of Nelson's Northern Rex which is the father of the Rocket dog you mentioned. I have seen some tree power out of this line, but haven't been around these dogs as much as the others I mentioned, so I couldn't offer as much info.

The Zipper dog that is on my website is throwing very good accurate treedogs. He is owned by my brother. He is Myers and Albert bred. You can come and hunt with Zipper and his pups and see for yourself what kind of dog he is and what kind of pups he throws.

Also Hobo's Hoss dogs are treedogs and Lee Stockings has a nice dog out of him that has just been started to be bred. His pups aren't old enough yet to tell, but I am sure Lee will let you hunt with Victor too and see what kind of dog he is. I can't remember Lee's website right now but I am sure he will be glad to post it for you.

Both of these dogs have done their share of winning and their record speaks for them.

Also, Fred Bright's Dancer dog is throwing excellent treedogs too.

These along with the ones already mentioned will help the Black and Tan breed alot and you will see their impact in the future.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with any of the dogs mentioned on this thread already as well as the ones I have mentioned.

Smoke...

I heard that there is this Black and Tan pup that is a monster tree dog at 12 months or something like that. Some guy named Kent owns him. Good luck finding him though. He works all the time!

Christy,

They sure do look pretty standing on the wood. It is definitely one of my favorite sights in the world to see a nice tree dog.

If you want a good shot at getting a black and tan that trees, just look at the breeders who have been winning for years. I'm not talking about little local hunts. I'm talking about the big events where they are going to draw at least a couple of nice dogs.

Shy away from the people that put so much emphasis on the bench, and go with the people who hunt. There are several studs dogs out there that are producing some nice pups. They don't all turn out so don't give up if you get a dud. Do a lot of homework, and some travelling to look at some 1 year old pups that are doing it in the woods. Until you have dealt with someone, don't take them at their word.

Also, if you live near the Amish people, don't overlook them, because they have some nice dogs.

John she is probably going to tell you what I have experienced and have been told by some of the old timers around here. A boar coon has redish yellow eyes when the light hits them. A sow coon will have blueish green looking eyes. I thought these people were crazy when they told me this so I started checking when I shot them down sure enough they were right 99% of the time. I have also been told when a sow coon gets mad her eyes will turn to the color of the boar coon. Don't know about that but that is some of the old wise tells I have been told.

Christy Smoke asks for a line of treedogs and RIP gives you his Albert/ Bo line of dogs and then tells about my Hoss line of dogs and then YOU show us these great pictures of your female whos Albert/Hoss bred. Proved RIP to be correct on his post.

Your female looks like a real nice hound. Send me some more pictures at rtstocking@twlakes.net if you have any more good ones. Have a good day.

John Vaught....

Mr. Smarty Pants. When my dog trees coons, it's up to the coon what sex it is. How did I know that it was a BOAR? I peeled back the Hanes to see if there was something swinging once she got done chewing it to pieces. OK.

These pictures were taken during the last HUNTING season. The coons were shot out to her, that's how I know that they were boars.

By the way

Boar means the male animals such as coons, hogs, bear, cats...etc
Bore means to make a hole in something.

A buddy of mine has a young male out of Tige, a little over 2 years old. He was up and down the last year I hunted with him, but as of late has been looking pretty nice. I happened to draw him on out last hunt, and he won the cast and picked up a first place. He's a quick strike dog, and turning into a nice track dog, and has split treed more than once. He has two firsts, and only need a fifth or better now.

That's my only experience with Tige...

Red Cedar, I've heard about this Kent guy but I can't get ahold of him.

Billy, You're right there is more than one in this litter that is becoming coondogs and if I'm not mistaken they go back to your old dog.

Talk to you guys later!!

Ive got a dog out of Hobo's Hoss (my second one). He's a nice young hound. He just turned 15 months old. He's independent from track to tree and has been that way all his life. Tige should produce some nice hounds, but it will be hard for him to repeat Hobo's Hoss achievements in the breeding pen. However I hope he does, as I have a 5 month old Tige female that is a pure knockout. I'm a firm believer in this line of dogs. Especially when they are crossed with Setum Up Ace females.

John:

Wwwwhooooaaaa!!! No hard feelings on my part either. Did you not catch the humor in the Hanes thing??? Sorry to offend you. I just thought that it was cute.

OK. Now you've went and made it personal.

I have never sat out to offend your intelligence in one bit, but it is obvious that you do not mind to do that at all. Do you know what it takes to make the Dean's list at any College??? Do you? It takes a GPA-that's Grade Point Average of at least 3.84. That means the lowest of your finals scores in your class can be is a 99. That is straight A's in college. That means A's on all assignments A's on all tests and A's on all projects. That is not something that is easy to achieve. And I'm quite proud of myself as a matter of fact.

I was not getting high tempered. You'll know when I'm getting high tempered. As a matter of fact, the last 3 casts that we have been on have been rather enjoyable actually. If the dog beats us honest, WWWHHHOOPPPEE!!! More power to the dog. We just hunt these hunts to help the local clubs out. We're the only members from our club that ever even go to anothers hunts, and I think that looks bad on our clubs part. So, we go to show our support. Because no matter our differences, if we don't work together, there will be no coon hunting before long.

I have never said anything about your dogs, so who are you to critisize mine. Yes, they do make mistakes, just ask Coondawg, but I tell you one thing right now, I'm not afraid to show them in the woods. So, when do you want to go hunting. I'll show you our coon dogs. If they do good, yay, if they don't oops. They're just dogs.
